Sales lady was nice but there was a dog there, yup an animal in a store. As we entered we were greeted and immediately warned not to touch or pet the dog because it BITES. It hovered around us and scared my son so badly he told me he had the worst fear ever of a dog in that moment. Why have a dog that bites in a public store??!! The dog would not leave us be and kept begging for treats at our feet. If you are looking for items from the 1960’s, literally in packaging from that era, then you have found the right place. It was also dusty and stuffy and had dog danger around. Anyone allergic to dust or dogs and doesn’t want to possibly be bitten don’t go. This is a place to find old fashioned craft and doll making items though. It was just not for me. It has changed a lot over the years. Layers of dust over many items. I have a sore throat after being there and think it kicked up my allergies. Sorry but this store just seemed like an old dusty attic with a dog following you around. Why did I stick around??? I used to visit that store about 25 years ago as a kid and wanted to see if they had same great stuff;...

The prices are amazingly reasonable, the selection of items is amazing. There's a cute tiny dog that's the store mascot that loves to follow people around & loves to beg for treats but will go lay on his blanket after a few minutes. He's a service dog (& it's posted on the door) but I've never had an issue with him. All the customers I've seen have loved him .
The real hidden gem was discovering Rose's Dollhouse in the lower level. My first visit to that section lasted HOURS. I was entranced by all the miniature items - everything from dolls to food to animals - and...
Read moreAisles are a little claustrophobic and layout is kind of all over the place but they have a little bit of everything. Yarn, fleece kits, bits, baubles, beads, woodcrafting, doll forms, paper craft materials, stamps... Honestly it's probably going to be faster to type what kind of crafting materials they don't sell.
It's an eclectic mix though, with large lots of things like beads broken down into smaller bags. Honestly if you're just getting started in a new hobby it's worth going here first to see what you can find. Give yourself time, because it's a lot to...
