Target — Local services in Brookline

Security needs to do better in this store. This happened a few weeks ago but this has to be addressed.

I’ve lived in the area for 2 years now and I’m on foot meaning I don’t have a car. So I can’t do my shopping all at once. I get my groceries/products as needed with multiple trips and I’ve spent a lot of money at this target over the years. Anyways one day I was walking around looking at toiletries while on the phone and I could tell the security was watching me very closely. I’m a woman of color so this is not something I’m not used to by now.

What I want to make known is that I know when I’m being watched and why. Unfortunately it’s too convenient to go to this target because of where I live so I will keep going. But I just wanted to send the message that if I get followed again I will confront this security person and take legal action if I have to. :) trust me, I know how loss prevention works. VERY small and VERY limited selection of basically anything dont expect to come in here and find everything you are looking for chances are you will have a 30% chance of that and thats IF you are lucky enough to see it) this is mostly a store built for the Students of B.U since the Campus is just minutes away walking distance it does have SOME of your basics but anything beyond a vast selection you will have to visit another Target its ok if thats all you need though it does get VERY crowded due to its small narrow size it only has a front and back section no sides at all you can see as soon as you enter you will bot spend more than 20 minutes here max thats how small...

Feels cramped, especially compared to the Target just 1 mile away in Fenway. The selection also seemed more limited, but this might be a good place to stop in for the basics.

I felt sort of uncomfortable with all of the employees standing around - two right by the door and another hovering by the self checkout about 10 ft away. I'm sure their intention was to be available to help (and the one at the checkout was offering 10% discounts), but in the small space I felt like I was constantly being watched. I'm sort of hoping this is a temporary setup since they just opened, but on the other hand, I don't even know where else the employees...
