Sold my son a defective bracelet. I received an opal and diamond tennis bracelet for Christmas 2023 purchased from this Christiana, DE location. Clasp and Locking mechanism was defective. Lost the bracelet the next day. Should NEVER sell kids broken jewelry. It is hard to explain to a 13 year old why you are not wearing the one gift he gave to you. I guess it is never too young to learn about speaking up for himself. Maybe this is a good opportunity to discuss what Customer Service is, and what Helzberg can do to make it right when they are selling defective merchandise to kids. (I acknowledge I should NOT have worn said defective jewelry, and I played a roll in the loss as well, selfishly wanting to wear the Christmas Gift.) The bracelet is GONE because the lock was defective, so I am unable to bring the bracelet in for repair or return.

Read moreI have been a Helzberg customer for a long time. The Christiana, DE Mall store is the only store I’ve ever had an issue with. I purchased a Movado watch for my son. After paying for the watch and getting it sized we were told they didn’t have the box the watch came in. I own several Movado watches and always have received a box with the Movado card for authenticity, storage and paperwork regarding servicing. I asked why they didn’t have a box at which point a young lady, Lauren I believe, (has braces) inserted herself into the conversation telling me Movado doesn’t provide boxes. She was very rude, making faces and snickering like I didn’t know what I was talking about. This is a $1295 watch. A box should come with the watch. On top of everything she sat down near us and continued to stare at us and make comments. The gentlemen that helped with sizing the watch was also rude telling us a box is a box, although I believe he was uncomfortable with how the young lady was acting. They then moved to Downingtown, which is 45 minutes away compared to a 15 minute drive I had before. I showed up in Downingtown to get my jewelry cleaned only to find a sign on the door that they closed the location and moved to King of Prussia which is now over an hour drive for me one way. In January I went to King of Prussia for my yearly check up for my necklace only to find that they were moving to another area in the mall and would not be open for another week.
