I never get tired of the Calico Mine Ride. It's one of the best themed rides around and one of the landmark Knott's rides everyone knows. Opened back in 1960 and designed by legendary theme park ride designer Bud Hurlbut. The Calico Mine Ride is a fully immersive 7 minute trek into the depths of Ghost Town's Calico gold mine. The ride underwent a complete restoration and refurbishment back in 2014 that brought it back to its original glory. The ride now has updated special effects and brand new animatronic figures. Like the way they did the main cabin house I wouldn't mind living in it. The new scenery is nice they could have just revamped the big foot rapids with the new stuff as a facelift. The wolf is ok I think it could have been a little better. The guy at the cabin that shoots looks like the dad or family related to the guy in the mine ride with those eyes. Having some people act like they were panning for gold would of been nice to. A little bit more animals or stuff in the empty spots would of been nice to. Like more than one bear. And so on.
