High-end end Apartment, not so high-end Living. Weed smell- I see someone's review about weed smell. They smoke it all the time inside and right outside on the bench by the entrances front and back. homeless people- They are always on the bench right by the entrance makes me feel unsafe to enter. I had to go to the other side, avoiding them a few times. They need to increase security. Elevator down all the time. False Smoke alarms - so many times even on the morning of Christmas day. What a way to ruin the holiday spirit Parking fee -$275 Dehumidifier on 24/7- can't be turned off. Many of us are talking about it. It feels way too cold and unpleasant to take a shower. Very dirty surroundings. Southside of entrance is so nasty. Something nasty got spilled on the wall by the entrance door. This is number 5 day I have to endure and try not to puke. The dumpster area always has some sort of stain and not completely clean. I have to watch my steps.
There was a time City of Burien did not take trash for days. Homeless people got into it for days. Trash was everywhere but it was being clean until it g I t picked up for days. How do Maintenance people and management people who live here as well just ignored it and called this place a high-end and charging so much? Living here also 1 year and I haven't met a single resident who want to renew here. Go figure!
They don't provide leasing agreement prior to the moving day. I had to wait 2 hours waiting for my turn only to find out they need to go to lunch. Their response is that it is a mandatory lunch. Waited around another 1 hour. I was moving from 30 minutes away. I had no choice but waited here wasting another hour. On a MOVING DAY! You know what is like to lose 3 hours. I only had 1 day off. It was 1:30 pm that I left the place. We ended up moving for 2 days. How counter effective that was due to their unorganized and unprofessional work ethic! Naturally I got upset! Kay was very brazen about it saying it was a HQ policy about the lunch! Key was very apologetic! He may be only one that I like here. Always nice and trying to help with sincerity. They could have prepared me before the moving day like other apartments that I have lived in for the last 3 decades. This was the only place made me wait till the last minute for the lease agreement and waited 3 hours of my moving day. I can't wait to get out of here!!!!
Update on 06/02/2025
Parking fee went down to $200 One elevator is permanently down. Th s surrounding is so dirty and stinky. The stain I complained in my previous review 3 months ago is still there. Please see the attached. It is making my stomach turn every time.My dog on the hand loves it. He keeps wanting to leak it. It is a health risk for both humans and k-9s. It is disgusting!!! Do they not know about pressure washing? How do they ignore this kind of problems for this.long? The Southside entrance has problem opening with fobs. They have been neglecting it for almost 2 months. Many of us are just standing there trying to open it forever. With homeless people around here it is a safety issue. Please do...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI did not have a good experience trying to lease from Kinect..My daughter was trying to apply for an MFTE apartment at Kinect and I was her co-signer. However, they make the process very difficult and find excuses to cancel your application after you pay the $500 fee, such as telling you that you didnāt submit the correct form or not in the correct format or not within 48 hours..They also try to discourage you from applying for the MFTEs telling you that they will all be taken by the end of the day so you probably neednāt apply. Then youāll call back a couple days later or look on their website and those same apartments are still available. They make the process near to impossible and then will keep your $500 deposit. They required lots of documents from the applicant and the co-signer. Tax returns, 6 months of bank statements, proof of social security benefits, proof of pension or employment, letter from the employer if itās a new job (or paystubs), photo IDs. Now this is all fine and all this we turned in - but then you have to get all this in within 48 hours and only in certain formats. If you mess up and something wasnāt in the right format or you took too long they cancel your application and take your $500. They will tell you it all has to be pdf files but the site itself says it will accept other formats such as jpeg. They will say they canāt accept photos but how else are you supposed to upload your ID except take a picture of it? They will then cancel your application, ( say they called you when they didnāt ) keep your money, will not transfer this application to another apartment they have available. They will tell you to reapply, submit all those forms AGAIN and pay another $500. Now why would I do that and lose another $500 on some technicality? They will also keep changing what documents you need, first telling you 2 months of bank statements, then 3 months of bank statements, then 6. Then no tax return , then yes a tax return. Then they tell you they do have market rate apartments available. Itās all a scam on the backs of people who canāt afford it like my daughter who works as a para-educator with special needs children and doesnāt make a lot. We went through all that rigamarole and submitted all those documents with our personal info for nothing. And we have a very high credit rating so there was no reason to reject us. So saying they offer MFTE apartments doesnāt seem accurate because they will make sure you donāt get one. Iāve had less trouble...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDO NOT LIVE HERE: Kinect at Burien Apartment Complex. Management rude and inconsiderate. Now the latest gimmick is they are illegally raising the rent by charging more for utilities. They took a $5 Water fee and raised it to 100 dollars. Locked out of building 19 times by defective garage door opener. Took them 7 months to solve this problem. Recycle bins overflowing and garbage on the floors every week. Refrigerator defective and it took 3 months to get a new one and they gave me the same brand model number and factory production which has been recalled on 11,000 units. Elevators constantly breaking down. Only two guests allowed at a time. Severe restrictions on use of amenities. Emails arrive late at night after events have already occurred. Maintenance manager has vicious dogs that will bite you. False fire alarms forced evacuation of the building three times last month. Residents break all the rules including loud noises and smoking on the premises. Dog Poop in the hallways and management lets them get away with it even though the security camera is about 10 ft away from where it happened. Have had people making loud noises and drunken laughter right outside my door at 2:00 a.m. and again about 10 ft from the security camera but management claims they cannot find the people that do it. Security here is poor and open doors allow people to enter the building, climb the stairs and have full access to all floors and hallways and elevators of the complex. Resident on my floor leaves his garbage bags in the hallway. Barking dogs wake me up in the middle of the night when I am sleeping. For goodness sakes find a better place to live. ā¹ļø...
