On May 1st we purchased a king size bed, end stands, and a mattress and box spring. ( does anyone know how expensive these are, EVEN on sale?) All came to $2500. Very excited for this purchase to arrive (Slumberland said within 10 days. All of it.) Today is May 24th. They now say delivery will be this Friday, They said 10 days ago it would be within 5 days so I am not holding my breath. After reading these other similar reviews I'm disappointed and dismayed. This is really bad service. This makes the face of the company you see when you walk in the door a bad memory, WHEN IN REALITY we had a great sales person working with us. Andrew at Burnsville location KNOWS the product and was very helpful to us. The positivity we felt buying our bed is a distant memory now that we have had to wait almost a month so far. We still have to see when and how delivery goes and overall satisfaction of the bed we purchased stacks up.
Too bad delivery is really giving a bad reputation to a company that's been around and known for so long. We've purchased other furniture from them before and been very satisfied with the entire process but something has changed Slumberland to very low customer satisfaction status now. This will probably be the last purchase we ever make with Slumberland.
Final outcome: We finally received our entire bed and end tables in bits and pieces by June 30th. When the mattress f in bally arrived it was a queen when we ordered a king. . However, thankfully; The hassles and long wait of this transaction was only improved and saved by the manager of this Slumberland who made it all right by bumping our king size mattress to the highest quality pillowtop they offer. This manager went above and beyond within his power to make an awful situation- that was clearly out of his fault or control- a happier outcome. He constantly followed up with us until all the pieces of our bed set arrived and...
Read moreIf I could give negative stars I would. I have been a repeat customer for a number of years and had ok experiences and the furniture seems fine as well. In June I moved and needed a bed for my kids. On the day after I moved and was unpacking and cleaning my old place, the bed was delivered and only partially set up. The delivery staff were panicking and swearing in my kids rooms because it wasn’t building correctly. I had a ton on my plate and was just like ok someone else can bring more slats (thinking maybe that evening or something.) they leave, but leave the wooden slats propped up in my children’s unpacked room in the middle of the room. I had clearly been unpacking the whole time and needed to try and finish their room despite their bed now not being finished. I went to move the slats and something sliced right through my arm through my 500$ tattoo. A screw, one of at least a dozen they left screwed into the wood propped up in a room that children live in. I still have a scar and was promised they would do something and fix this to make me happy and all I got was one snotty letter from an insurance person that they tried calling and I didn’t answer. So I emailed and explained I have two kids on a single income and I can’t always answer my phone perhaps they would like to email me or leave a voicemail next time so I know it’s them when they call. I now just got a notice I’d be having to pay interest on the furniture which prompted some leftover rage from this whole debacle. I would literally never recommend this horrible place to anyone ever and in fact, will recommend no...
Read moreI am writing this review on a mattress I purchased 3 years ago. Slumberland DOES NOT sell quality products. My husband and I purchased a floor model mattress three years ago for $1,500. We knew the sale was final due to it being a floor model. Once the mattress was delivered, it was completely damaged. We took photos and sent it in as the bed was completely warped. We figured that slumberland would have excellent customer service. It took them WEEKS to come remove the damaged product from our home. Due to it being a floor model, they would not replace the product and would only give me a STORE CREDIT. This entire process took 3 weeks before we received our new mattress. We had to sleep on an air mattress until this issue was resolved. We ended up purchasing a pillow top mattress as the memory foam mattress were more than the $1,500 they gave us. The mattress DID NOT LAST 3 YEARS. We are now in the process of purchasing a new mattress that gives us a much longer warranty. I am 5’1, 120 pounds, and the mattress completely lost its shape after only 3 years. This is NOT a good company to buy from and beware of the sales people. They will say anything to get you to buy. Make sure you have that warranty in writing and in your filing cabinet because you will need it if you choose to purchase from them. But I highly recommend you...
