I would agree with both sides with these reviews. The food when it's correct is always really good. Made to order. As far as I have seen. You can see them make your food from behind the counter. Things like apps and longer prep are most likely frozen and reheated. Makes sense to save time and more cost effective. Sometime you can see that they are cooking and set it aside to start another order. Not a Michelin restaurant but still good.
As for the kid working as the front man. Understand that he must be self aware that he will not have a normal child's life that we have taken our own for granted. As he just about spends his entire waking day at that place. Would you be perky and happy dealing with the general populist not by choice and full knowing that other kids his age are playing video games and pranking each other. I at times also am not happy with the outcome of my visits either, dish full of onions, service is lacking. But the food is still good and I like supporting mom and pop business. This isn't a multi million dollar franchise but a family trying to get by by living their American dream. Overall food is still good. If you're expecting a red carpet to be rolled out because you've never suffered from the struggles of life then take your high expectations to a place we're you can have it your way.

Read moreThis is the second time I have ordered from Eddie Cheng and the second time my order was incorrect. The first, I did not receive half of my order, and this time I ordered with special, simple requests (dietary restrictions), and it took two and a half hours to arrive, and it was incorrect, not even true to their menu.
When I called back, I got a worker who definitely had an attitude, had me on hold for 5 or so minutes, and proceeded to question me about my meal even though it was 2.5 hours late and not accurate to my request for sauce on the side and the substitute rice for more vegetables, or even the menu which states the chicken and mixed vegetables comes with sauce on the side. It wasn't until the representative put me on another abrupt hold and got what seemed like a manager or owner that they said they would send out a new order soon.
Extremely frustrating. I recognize and respect that they are open during a harsh time as a pandemic, and I realize that it must be busy for deliveries. However, 2.5 hours is an extremely long wait time, i was given no receipt, my order was incorrect per my own and menu standards, and the poor customer service topped it all off. I will not be ordering from Eddie...
Read moreFood cooked well and flavor is ok. However, the last three times we have been told a certain pick-up time and had to wait 15-20 mins BEYOND the told pick-up time. Never again will we go here. We used to be regulars going at least once a week. If you decide to go here - do NOT pay for your food until they actually have it ready for you. Otherwise you will regret paying and having to wait 15-20 min after paying, after you were told it would be 20 mins (today we were told 35 and we ended up waiting an HOUR - for pickup! Unacceptable!) We will be bringing our business to Nha Sang or Cam Rahn Bay as they have consistently had our food at the time they stated, and it's just as good if not better. Beware if ordering from here, and do NOT pay until they have your food ready. Heed the advice of the other reviewers below - steer clear of here. They have really dropped the ball and...
