I was not a fan of the store chain since I bought a George Foreman coat in 2004 at a location in the Denver Metro area. The coat after a few months began to shed and SHED IT DID. But, at the time, I needed a coat my size. So, within the last few weeks, I was visiting in the Twin Cities and my time was minimized to where I could not go home for professional clothing; I needed slacks and a belt. Stopped into this location 15 min before closing. The experience was decent. The clerk even hooked the belt on the slacks (so to speak) and I left the store. The next morning, I attempted to dress in the slacks. Whoa! wait! No belt! I figured I must have left it at the store, although I thought the clerk said he would clip the belt to the slack's hanger. So, I went back to the store to inquire about the belt I left, as I am sure I did. The clerk at the store was different than the previous night. This one treated me as if I was in the wrong place, even after I shared with him my experience. My contention was that I have left the belt. The store clerk was like, "if I find it, I can call you..." (I don't live in the Twin Cities) I was hoping to just be given another belt or possibly pay for another belt at same price. Store clerk was not interested in helping me find another belt on clearance. Yes, I was expecting some concession because I asked the clerk to hang the belt on the slacks hanger by the buckle. Had this been done, they would have been NO WAY I could have lost it between the store and the parking lot. Yet, the clerk acted as if , "maybe you dropped it or lost it in the parking lot", as if I would respond with affirmation. Maybe I was expecting much, but at minimum, I was expecting someone who works at a store with these prices for clothes (I am not used to buying clothes lots) to have more empathy. Not the customer service I was expecting. My money does little for their bottom line, therefore they shall see no more of it for...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting the DXL store in Burnsville under somewhat stressful circumstances, as I had left my luggage at home while on a trip. From the moment I walked in, the quality of service provided by the store personnel was nothing short of exemplary.
The staff at DXL was not only friendly but also thoroughly professional. She immediately understood the urgency of my situation and dedicated themselves to assisting me in finding everything I needed. Her patient guidance was invaluable as I had to quickly purchase a week's worth of clothing.
The staff member took the time to help me select items that not only fit my style and size but also suited the requirements of my trip. She went above and beyond to ensure that I felt comfortable and satisfied with my selections, which greatly alleviated the stress of my predicament.
I am extremely grateful for the high level of customer service I received and cannot extol my gratitude enough for the assistance provided by the DXL team member. Her dedication to customer care truly made a significant difference in my week. I would highly recommend the DXL store in Burnsville to anyone looking for quality men's clothing and a truly supportive...
Read moreWent in store to look for rain jackets, guy behind counter didn’t even say hello. He was too busy talking to the guy at the counter about video games! The entire time I was in there he didn’t even acknowledge me! That is pretty rude, even if you’re with someone you should at least address the customers in your store. Makes me wonder if it was because I was a woman or because he was too enthralled in games instead of work. This was the first time I have ever been treated so rudely at this store. I have always had great service and friendly staff who were of great assistance. This guy was anything but, and he is supposed to be a manager, how sad!
I want to say that after this review was posted I was contacted by upper management at DXL regarding my concerns. She listened intently to what I had to say and told me that they have made some changes to the staff at the store. She also listened to my concerns about the store layout and said she would be passing those to the appropriate team. Overall I feel like my concerns were heard. She agreed that customers are valuable and need to be respected and listened to. While I haven’t been in the store yet since the staff changes, I will definitely give them a...
