Not impressed. Beer selection was not bad. Although many choices were tapped out. The business itself had a nice interior and could be a solid concept which if run right would fit into the area well. The issues which stood out big time were the service and the food. I can't recall ever seeing an establishment more over staffed than this. 11 employees to 9 customers. Which in turn resulted in our table watching 5 of the employees begin there shift by spending the first 30 minutes hanging around the beer taps and drinking what we counted to be in excess of 20 samples of beer each, leading me to wonder how much they drank during their entire shift? While we watched all the staff drink and basically just hang out we sat with empty glasses waiting for service from any of multitude of employees. Then the food. I will say it was ok. Not the best thing ever but not the worst. The problem which was overtly obvious and I'm not sure how you run an establishment and don't recognize is... How do you serve a small portion of fries or a 3 piece chicken tender meal on a gigantic platter. It was odd to say the least. Having worked in the food industry for many years the first thing I noted was if the food had arrived on an appropriately sized plate it would have absolutely felt like a better meal. Instead I personally ordered the loaded fries and got a portion of fries which covered maybe 1/4 or this giant round serving tray. And in the end I would say really didn't taste any better than fast food fries. So if they could fix some things about their operations I could see this type of place being a success where it is located. But currently I don't see myself returning...
Read moreIt was my first time every being there and I was super excited to go. My gal and I were there for about 5 minutes and had the worst experience. I believe our waiters name was Jimmy. We asked him how he was doing and he replied “I’m working so I guess I’m ok.” Jimmy then asked if we had ever been there before and we replied no. He didn’t welcome us but instead explained how the menu works explaining it was alla cart. We said ok then he walked away. After looking at the menu for a bit Jimmy came back and asked if we were ready and we replied no cause my girl had questions about the menu. He asked if we wanted anything to drink and I replied what’s the favorite. He replied “out of 46 some beers there’s not really one favorite.” I said ok and he asked what kind of beer I liked and I replied IPA’s. He then left and came back a few minutes later with samples. It was loud in the place and he told me the names of the samples. I didn’t catch the 2nd one and asked him if he could repeat that. In mid sentence he turned around and walked away. I then looked at my girl and said we’re leaving.
I will never go back to that place and highly recommend they doing something about...

Our experience: Sat at the bar since it was the first available seating for 3 people; only one in our group of 3 ordered a beer, the waiter/bar guy was friendly. Never been to a JL Beers location but thought there would be more than burgers, fries, and chicken tenders available.
Observations: -Bar seating is counted as "regular seating" unlike how the bar area is typically a waiting area for your table. -All but one table are high tops (shouldn't be a big deal unless you dislike sitting at tall tables) -No ice if you'd like a nice cold glass of water (beware ice-in-my-drink lovers) -Four TVs total, one at each end of the rectangular-shaped dining area, and only two T.V.s at the bar, both at one end. So if you want to watch a game at the bar, get there in good time to grab a seat, otherwise, you'll get caught watching the food made instead. -when busy, loud atmosphere most likely due to size of place.
Wouldn't come here for an actual meal, but would consider it for meeting friends for a drink later in the evening or...
