My BFF and I were in nearby Columbiana for her out of town wedding. We called Thursday and made an appt for Friday at 11:00- two manis, one gel and one regular, and one pedi. We arrived on time, in fact, early and I called and they invited me to come on in. They could start my pedi. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the salon, and how nice their pedicure chairs are. They gave a killer massage and charge your phone to boot! Cool! I was complimenting their salon graciously while they were working on me, explaining that the bride would be walking in any minute for her 11 appt. She sat down, and even she complimented the salon. The employees asked some questions on e about the wedding, and seemed genuinely interested. Until we realized, they weren’t. They asked who was doing her hair, and when we told them, they immediately began speaking in another language to one another. No one was waiting in the salon- the lobby was empty, and so since she was still getting her nails done, I thought I would sit and enjoy the massage chair and she’ll she was done. Then the lady came over, turned off the massage massage chair and told me to get up. I being four hours from home I decided to run to the grocery store next door while she stayed and finished her nail appt. Since she got a regular mani, I thought it would be a good idea if she gave herself some extra drying time while I was in the grocery store since no one was waiting in the lobby. When I walked out of Publix, the bride was sitting on the sidewalk ( I was gone maybe 15 mins max) and I asked her what she was doing- she said “they told me to leave. “ they wouldn’t allow her to give herself extra drying time while I bought us some lunch. Who kicks a bride and her maid of honor out of an empty salon we made appts for her. We are hours away from home? We told the hairdresser about our experience. And everyone else that would listen, too. What would have been the harm in my sitting on the massage chair for the 15 mins while she let her nails get super dry when NO ONE ELSE was waiting. Oh, and we had already tipped $20. So, let me make sure I tell you we paid And we tipped. Your cool chairs do nothing to counteract your nasty attitude towards your paying customers. Asking a bride to leave and forcing her out to sit on a sidewalk when she has no car and nowhere else to go… real classy there ladies. I hope eight million people see this review. I guess not everyone knows...
Read moreI have been a client of John and Shelia for well over 8+ yrs. They have always gone above and beyond to accommodate myself and anyone that I have ever sent or brought to them. I have never had one complaint after leaving and have always left with picture perfect results whether it's been my nails or waxing. They have always treated me with the upmost respect and have always taken into consideration my diabetes. They are especially careful not to damage my nails or skin during my visits. They understand the importance of their clients hygiene/ health and as a Registered Nurse, I appreciate that. I would highly recommend their establishment and expertise over any other business in the surrounding areas. If you're looking for the perfect place to relax in a newly renovated and state of the art salon, this is it. They are usually very busy so there is likely to be a wait. I would recommend calling ahead and setting up an appointment. 😘 Thanks guys, I'll see you see...
Read moreI tried to call in and see if they had an appointment. They told me they did not so I asked if they were any other open nail salons in the area. She told me absolutely not everyone was on vacation I wasn’t going to get seen without an appointment. This is a small town not Hollywood. I am now at the first location. I stop that after leaving their establishment. About to get my nails done. Go to nail star in Calera. And I did state that I did not ever walk into this business. I called to make an appointment. Either way you’re attacking in response to me is exactly why I posted the review than I did. Is the exact same nasty attitude. I heard on the phone. And I will encourage my friends that I’ve told me if they’re horrible experiences to share them on here as well. Good...
