ALDI — Local services in Canton

Horrible service! Unprofessional all the way! We went yesterday, Thursday, July 8th around lunch and the one and ONLY cashier let the lady in front of us “9” people get out of line after 500+ items had been rang up to go back into the store and shop, seriously!? Have some respect for the rest of us! We all just stood there and waited while she went back to shop! That was uncalled for…. The cashiers usually throw your stuff in the cart and send you on your merry way! I only had one item and so did my cousin in line behind me. The cashier never called for backup and the line was now to the middle of the store. So I said to my cousin, “ I should have known I would be behind the one person that goes back to shop while we all stand here and wait”. The cashier then proceeded to a have a confrontation with me and make my private conversation her business. She then slammed the wrinkled up receipt in my hand. I refused to take the receipt. Thank goodness my cousin was in line behind me to witness such a horrible attitude. ALDI really needs to screen their employees a little bit better. Oh, and you can’t call and speak to a Manager on the phone number they have listed on Google. Needless to say, I will NOT be back. Most of the groceries i purchased from this store i realized were spoiled once i got home but it was extremely hot outside and i did not plan on leaving the house again . The bread i purchased was moldy . the fruit was half spoiled some still okay to eat out of the bag. i bought a spoiled papaya that smelled rotten upon cutting it open. i had thrown my receipt away by the time i realized how much food i brought i couldn't eat . i will never shop at this store again! Aldi commercials give off the impression of fresh produce everyday and nothing i bought was fresh except for the box of salad. I'm very disappointed because i wasted money. almost $100 worth of groceries down the drain! i chose to shop here because the produce at the surrounding stores such as Walmart and kroger are terrible and they don’t have alot of organic options at the best price . i wish i didnt throw away my receipt because i want all my money back but its okay i learned my lesson to never...

We shop here all the time, but lately the customer service has stunk. Another example came today. We purchased a cat scratch tower for our new kitten. The box had obviously been opened and put back together. The associate rudely told us that they inspect all boxes that are returned and that we could buy the product or not -- at full price. We did, because we trust Aldi. When we got the box home and opened it, we were horrified to find a pair of dirty socks in the box and cat hair all over the product.
