First, the 40% coupon is gone. Ugh, really Hobby Lobby??? Second, I have been a HL loyal customer for umpteen years. Creating and selling crafts and making my own for my home and gifts. I have never seen prices jacked up this high. Maybe it's my store? I don't really know but it's very disappointing the direction they are going. Still alot of pretty items but I would still like to feel that I'm getting a fair price. I use to go 2-3 times a week and now maybe once a month. The coupon was a way to help with a full priced item when I had a customer request for a craft and couldn't wait until the next week for the sale or Michael's didn't have what I needed. Third, their customer service is less to be desired. No one ever smiles and I occasionally get "Can I help you" but their are long lines and I observed what seemed like 2 management ladies at the register area talking with one register open and a line forming quickly. It was the Return/Exchange line which you never know if it's for checking out and Returns or just Returns. I asked one of the ladies if the Return line was for check outs as well or could they open another register. She did not even look at me and just said "Register one is open MA'AM." As it seemed to be an inconvenience that I was bothering her. I returned it with it's recite and the person said it wasn't theirs, that I had purchased it somewhere else. I went back to show them where it was. However now they moved it into another aisle and facing the opposite direction. Also now they have a different company as their distributor, and price has gone up two more dollars. I wouldn't be upset about it as much. But I do not appreciate someone saying I had lied. Their words were: "no, you didn't buy it here." My suggestion when and if I purchase again and should have done so today is have each item you purchase signed by a manager that it was purchased from Hobby Lobby. For everyone's protection, all clients should do this simple act...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDidn't have a very pleasant visit to the Canton Hobby Lobby this afternoon. All of the employees were in their own little worlds hardly acknowledging the customers unless approached. They were all reorganizing in multiple places all over the store and seemed unavailable to help. Not once did anyone ask if I needed any help finding anything. When I went to check out it was hard to tell which register was open because several employees were huddled around one register that said "closed" but no one was at any other registers. The only bright side was an employee who smiled at me as we crossed paths. I drove in some not fun traffic to shop at Hobby Lobby tonight and left with only a portion of what I needed for my project.
