Dollar General — Local services in Cape Canaveral

Will NEVER go back. We own a place in Cape Canaveral and stay often but I hadn't yet had a chance to check out this Dollar General, until last week. I came in first on my own to grab a few things and was amazed at how big and well stocked the store was! I was so impressed by their selection, I brought my family along a day or two later to grab more items including new beach gear and beach toys for my kids. I sent my 10 year old son two rows over to look at the beach stuff and pick out a few things he would like to have. He returned to me a few minutes later, embarrassed and upset that a female employee approached him and told him he was not allowed to walk around the store by himself - that he was allowed to shop but could not walk around alone - what does that mean?! He was so confused and was doing NOTHING wrong - I was literally TWO rows away and I SENT him over there to look at beach stuff. He was NOT just wandering around the store. I tried to find this employee to talk to her myself, but she was nowhere to be found. We decided we were not going to patronize a business that chooses to confront and intimidate kids instead of asking to speak to the parents (who were present and VERY nearby). We abandoned the items we intended on purchasing and left the store. I was so excited to have found this place and will now never step foot in it again. We will take our money and do our shopping...

Worst experience ever! Robert was incredibly rude and so was the Alice Cooper looking dude, who was in the back, while 20+ customers were standing in line. He came out of the back only once, to help Robert with a void on his register, but walked right by the self-checkout machine that was flashing and requesting service for a customer...and he did not even stop to fix the machine so we could get the line moving. We FINALLY made it to the register, and the woman in front of us was having an issue with Apple pay for her $2 transaction. She was going to go out to her car and look for cash, so I just told Robert I'd pay for it, bc we'd like to get going. He was really weird about it and was trying to say we couldn't pay for her item. After an annoyingly lengthy argument about $2, we were finally able to check out. Zero stars. I do...

My wife has never been treated so rudely to the point she was almost in tears. She went to Dollar General in Cape Canaveral to have a package returned to Walmart from an online order. Walmart clearly states to drop of at a FedEx location for returns. We printed a QR code and return that clearly states to take to any FedEx location. The ignorant lady (I use that term loosely) basically started yelling at my wife because the label on the box was from UPS. Well, UPS is how Walmart shipped to us and had nothing to do with the return. The woman began tapping on the box pointing out the label. When my wife tried to show her the printed return she simply stated that my wife was in the wrong place. First and last time we will ever go in a Dollar General for anything.
