Grace Lanes — Local services in Carthage

I have very very fond memories of this place from way back in the mid 90s. My brother and I used to ride our bikes to this place as kids when we would come visit our dad for the summer. Im from Tennessee but this place was literally a godsend for my brother and I as we really had no friends and there was nothing much to do while our dad was at work. I imagine it was the old owners that we interacted with but back then we would come with just a couple bucks each and they would let us drink as much soda as we wanted and play as many of the arcade games we wanted as well. They would open up the machines and let us use the same quarters over and over as we almost always were the only ones there on weekdays. Man, this place sure brings back alot of nostalgia for me. Glad to see its still open, if Im ever in the area again I'll definitely come by to visit for...

So we had a terrible experience here. We had my nephews birthday party here. We paid $85 for a party package we did not receive the keepsake bowling pin, the ice cream treats for each participant and free bowling passes that were also supposed to come with the package. We were told by the staff member Michelle that since we upgraded the party package "last minute" it was really inconveniencing. ( we called the day before to upgrade to a bigger package which btw costs more) Also when picking out the tshirt that comes with the package, we needed a bigger size for the birthday boy and the staff was extremely rude about it. So basically we paid $85 and did not get everything that comes with the package and had to deal with rude workers. We will never "inconvenience" this bowling alley again. I'm sure we'll get better...

From the outside it doesnt look like much but its for sure a surprise on the inside with bowling lanes, ice cream, and a pretty decent snack and entree selection. They also have a pretty big arcade as well! They were friendly and nice, considering my (7) friends and I ordered 8 pizzas for our two lanes. The only downside I could find about the place was the finger size selection for bowling balls was slim. My friends and I are pretty big guys so it was slim picking for us to find bowling balls to fit our fingers in. But we found a couple and closed the place down!
