We highly recommend Mogastone in Cary, NC for all your granite needs. We visited 5 different granite shops, with Mogastone being our first. Their professional showroom is welcoming, warm, and inviting. We were greeted by Constantine and he asked us questions about what we're needing and what colors we were looking for, as well as asking us about the configuration of our kitchen. We spent about an hour with him and never felt rushed. He showed us nearly every single slab of granite they had available (inside the showroom and outside on their grounds). He didn't just give us price information specifically for our kitchen, but he also showed us the differences in the granite slabs to see how they go about pricing. He explained the pros and cons of granite vs. quartz, how to care for the stone, and answered all of our questions. We did not feel pressured at all. We fell in love with a slab that was above our budget but he was able to find another granite option that fit our budget and we liked that stone even better. We went to 4 other stores and couldn't find anything comparable to the beautiful slab he showed us and the level of service he provided us.

We came back on a Friday to purchase our slab and they explained their entire process in detail. While their pricing initially appeared slightly higher than other granite fabricators in our area, their pricing included everything (edge, sink, removal and disposal of existing counter-tops) and they did not charge us anything extra for our home which is about 45 mins. away. The other stores were slightly less per square foot, but they would "nickel-and-dime" you for anything else which raised the cost. Also, other stores did not have slabs long enough to fit our counter-top and would have to put a seam down the middle, which I did not want. Almost all of the slabs we looked at with Mogastone were longer than what we needed, so now we have all whole-piece counter-tops without any seams.

We had them in our home measuring with laser precision that Tuesday (3 days) and they installed on the next Saturday (one week later). Mogastone has the most up-to-date technology to measure and cut. The installation process was quick and easy. The two installers were extremely professional and efficient, as well as very careful when removing the old counter-tops without any damage to our cabinets. They made sure we were pleased prior to writing the check for the remaining balance and answered all of our questions about upkeep. They used floor mats to avoid scratching our floors and cleaned up everything when they were done. We are extremely pleased with Mogastone and the level of customer service they provided us. We will definitely return to them if we need more granite in the future and we highly recommend...

The quote from Mogastone: “We don’t want your business. The hell with you!” The backstory: In the showroom on Saturday afternoon, they assured us a "by Friday" installation. Since we were hosting a baby shower the following Saturday, we hired them even though their quote was the highest one we got BY FAR. On Monday they called to schedule a Thursday afternoon installation with a fallback date of Saturday. Fallback date? Nobody said there’d be a fallback date! Already things were taking a turn for the worse. But they made us feel optimistic about the Thursday timeslot, so we took it. On Thursday morning, I called to confirm the installation, and they said they’d let us know if they couldn’t make it. I told them they could come as early or late as they needed. So far so good? Finally, 5 PM rolls around, and my wife calls to find out why they weren’t there yet. That’s when they informed her that they couldn’t make it, and they’d have to come on Saturday morning instead. Since a Saturday installation was going to make things very tough for us, my wife pleaded with them to either come late Thursday evening or early on Saturday to give us as much time as possible between the installation and the party. Yes, my wife complained about having been assured an installation by Friday while in the showroom, but never once did she raise her voice or become unruly as I probably would have done. And even if she had, she still wouldn’t have deserved what she got from them. At the end of the phone call, my wife got transferred to the manager. He didn’t even wait for her to tell her story, he just hung up on her while he told her: “We don’t want your business. The hell with you!” So now we’ll have plywood for a countertop at our baby shower, and we’ll have to be placed at the end of the queue at one of the more reasonably priced granite providers. Our experience went from “yes we can get it installed by Friday” to “the hell with you” in just five short days. Save yourself some money and the headache of working with this company.
