Absolutely horrid customer service. On the evening of 8th March, 2022, I decided to venture out to the Vitamin Shoppe, specifically to ask questions pertaining to pre-workout protein bars or supplements. Vitamin Shoppe has always been my go to supplements store, specially when I was very active in the GYM and often took advantage of their rewards program. I have been a loyal customer FOR YEARS. Since COVID broke out, I had not gone to the gym, but decided it was time to ease my way back into the groove of things. I get to the store at 8:33 PM, and find that the door is locked. I see 2 guys chit chatting, one leaning across the counter and the other behind the counter. They both glance over at me as I knock, and the shorter overweight one mentions to me that they are closed. This is when I look at my watch, 8:33 PM. Surely they just locked the door! At this point I'm thinking, I just drove 17 mins to this store and the possibility for me to write a bad review is immenent, so I give them one more chance and knock again. Again the guy says they are closed.. . In a world where I can easily order supplements on Amazon in seconds, and even sign up for a monthly subscription, the ONLY VALUE ADD a brick and mortar store can give these days is customer service. The thing that irks me the most is the nonchalant attitude of so carelessly brushing a customer off and immediately glancing the other way and leaving someone out in the cold (yes tonight was extremely cold). Ā Ā Ā Read morePurchased an online order as they had a good sale. Went in midafternoon to pickup my order and it took awhile for them to get to me even though there were only two people in line. When they did hand me my online order they said I would have to carry my purchases out as they no longer use bags. Due to the size there was no way I could carry 5 items out so the only other option was to purchase a bag. Well their bag is intentionally small so I had to buy multiple so that I could carry my purchase to my car. You would think when you spend $100 plus dollars their service would be better and they would give you a complimentary bag. Iāve included a photo of just two of the items I purchased as I would not purchase anymore (I awkwardly carried out the other items by hand). Plus, the employee with glasses kind of just stared at me walking around. Take that with a grain of salt, as idk if he thought I was cool or if I simply sketched him out. Prejudice against anyone is a big no no in business. He took my info which I gladly gave, for an account. When I asked him if they have a rewards system, he responded back with "Yeah that's why I asked for your info". Haha! An explanation as to how the system works would've been extremely helpful, but he chose to be smart, and talk to me as if I'm ignorant. Sorry Vitamin Shoppe.
