Went to Cedar Key 9/1/2020, have been going for 60 years. Was very disappointed that the two different restaurants we went to,, that no one was wearing a mask. Only a couple of visitors ( couples ) walking around had on mask. in one restaurant the waitress reached over our food and whole table grabbed a napkin from the holder and blew her nose standing right there with the fan blowing behind her head into our table and food. Pray to God she isn't a carrier of covid 19, as we had our mask off eating the food that was excellent. Read moreWent to the Chamber, they were in the middle of a major revamp and upgrades. The last time I was at the Chamber I remember thinking the carpet has got to go. Well it is gone now and replaced with lovely wood laminate. Makes the place look so clean. The new paint job and color inside makes the place warm and inviting. I was told that the Chamber will soon be selling one of kind gift items to help supplement the daily operating costs. Definitely worth the visit when in Cedar Key. Read moreBooked 2 nights over Labor day weekend. Saturday night was fantastic. Closed a bit early but being a small family oriented town we had no issue. Sunday night........the entire town shut down at 9pm. Totally understand that on a typical Sunday night, but with all the paying visitors that booked rooms on Labor day weekend....specifically Sunday night, why would any tourist oriented town shut down on a holiday night with 1000s of disappointed, money spending clients?
