We have been staying at Park Place for years we just came back from there but we couldn't stay in our favorite room 121 because now we have a little dog so we had to stay in 221 well we got in there and put all our stuff in and my husband dropped some ice on the floor so I got a paper towel and I wiped it up and the floor was disgusting I picked up the paper towel and it was black the floor was filthy and then we noticed that the AC wasn't very cool or the room wasn't cold so we checked the temperature and it was down to 72 so we put it down a little bit more but it still didn't get cold so there's furniture kind of blocking it so we moved the furniture thought that might help but it didn't so my husband took out the two filters and they were so thick with dust no wonder no air could get through so he cleaned that put them back in much better for the rest of the stay also noticed the bed look like my five-year-old grand daughter made it very sloppily made and I was glad I brought my own pillow and blankets also the rug was very stained I understand it's pet friendly but my dog is house broken. They left a pink.washcloth in the bathroom to remove makeup but it was hard as a rock but I bring my own makeup remover pads. We have always come here for our grandchildren's birthdays cuz we have four of them that are in March and we've gotten all them rooms and never have had a problem with the room here yet until this time. I know it sounds like I'm bashing the place but I'm not so far it's just been that one room and who wants to go in and stay in a place pay that money and stay in a dirty room I don't know what the problem is I haven't been there in quite a few years I don't know if they've changed their housekeeping but I've seen some other reviews that are saying the same thing that I am I hope that's the issue I hope that they can fix it because it with new housekeepers it's my favorite place to stay. Also I had to go to Dollar Genera tol go buy a bowl and a couple other things that they were lacking in their kitchen which all the other places always had the necessities and I bought some cleaning stuff so I could clean up a little bit cuz I just felt dirty but like I said the people there are wonderful and I love going there and I pray that they just get some new housekeepers and that will solve the problem cuz I've never ever had a problem there before. Read moreWe were initially put in room 326 for our stay but it was changed to room 323. We had 3 adults. Both room descriptions were that 4 people could stay in each room. We understood that there was a sofa bed. We wanted to put this review up before they changed the description of the rooms. When we got there last night we saw there was a king bed in the loft and in the living room there was a normal sofa and a loveseat. These were normal and NOT a pull out sleeper sofa or loveseat. We called right away because we had 3 adults. Our daughter had to sleep on the dirty couch. Thankfully there were sheets that we could cover it with. We asked for a second room and the girl we spoke with said she lived half hour away and couldn't come in to give us a key etc. In the morning, the manager Julia said there would be no refund and kept insisting that a normal sofa is a third sleeping spot. Even if that were the case and if we had 4 adults, where would the fourth adult have slept since the unit was advertised for 4 people. She said we could have asked for a cot and if we had left last night we would have gotten a refund. These options were not given to us last night. She was very rude and unapologetic. This was misleading advertising and a mistake on their part for which they could have simply apologized and given us half the money back but instead the manager chose to put it on us and didn't take any responsibility for what had happened.
