On February 16th, My husband placed an online order using their OFFICIAL online system 15 mins before the store opened and when I arrived to the store they told me that they didn’t see the order so it wasn’t ready. They also told me that if I wanted my sandwiches, I would have to pay AGAIN. I showed them the order confirmation email, order number, the names, the phone number and the pending credit card statement that showed I was charged the right amount. The manager still told me that I had to pay for the sandwiches (in a rude aggressive manner) and come back if the pending charge was posted in 3 days to get a refund (keep in mind The store is 25 minutes away from my house and I will have to keep an eye on the statement???). Another lady showed up from the kitchen and said it was ok and they will figure out themselves with an attitude as if I was a begger. As a result, I waited for 50 minutes while there was no other customers to get my sandwiches and did not pay but I was treated like a begger with no sympathy, no smiles, nothing. And turns out I already paid for the sandwiches anyways. My credit card shows the charges posted. And I waited 50 minutes while (I repeat) they had no other customers to serve. Noone. Read moreI used to love potbelly and go there all the time for lunch. However, my recent experience today trying to order from this store using UberEats was a massive disappointment.
First thing, they just outright cancelled my first order after I had already waited almost an hour for it to be delivered. Nothing worse, then doing a late lunch because I'm busy with work, then to remember you ordered food and was wondering how much longer only to find the store cancelled your order without so much as a phone call.
So I re-ordered, and changed my order around a bit, perhaps they were out of the large multi-grain, who knows, they didn't tell me what the previous problem was.
Again I wait yet another hour to eat my lunch, getting very grumpy at this stage because I'm HUNGRY. However, when my "wreak" sandwich finally arrived, they had SERIOUSLY drowned my sandwich in mayo and mustard. I Literally, had problems just picking up the sandwich without huge globs of mayo/mustard sauce falling off. I had to use a napkin to try to wipe off this massive amount of excess sauce. Read morePOOR excuse for a Potbelly. Went in around 4pm. Not one single employee in sight. Literally stood there qabout 2-3 minutes. Finally started knocking on walls, counter, and whistling. Yelling "Hello! Anyone here??" A couple minutes later, a girl finally walks out of the back and says, Sorry, we didn't hear you come in. Said someone kept coming in and out and not buying anything. I could have stolen everything in the store. Rediculous. Then another girl comes out from the back laughing with another person. So 3 employees all in back. (??) Asked for a chicken salad on multi grain with cheese.. What vegetables? I said pickles, lettuce, onion. Here's the sandwich I got in the pic. I was on the highway. I had to exit and turn around and go back to the store. You forgot the chicken!! Pay attention!!!!! They literally threw a tiny bit of chicken salad on top. All bread. And the bread was hard as a rock! Worst and smallest portion sandwich I've ever had. Most Potbelly's are good. Not this one in Cedar Creek. I would say they just don't care. Period....
