IM SORRY, A LONG READ, BUT A GOOD ONE. I’m a very patient person I would say, but today I was bit in a rush so I order through the app to pick it up. When I entered the store it was not busy at all, though there was some traffic through the drive thru. There two male employees completely goofing off and shoving each other( basically poorly doing their job), then a female employee frantically taking orders and basically making all the drinks. Many empty cups were piling up. Then an other female employee comes from the back room (later finding out that she was a manger) standing there relaxing taking orders through the headset. By this point I’ve been waiting for 25mins in the store and within the 25 minutes a few people came in the store made the order and pretty much got their order immediately after. So I’m not going to lie I got a bit agitated that I had been waiting for almost 30 minutes and still haven’t recive my drink. I came to the front and let one of the employee’s know that I have been waiting for a little over 25 minutes for my drink that I ordered through the app then the manager intervened and very rudely said she “got it and will make it” then my ma comes in asking what going on and the manager started to raise she voice while making the drink and kept say “ I got right here, I got it right here” she then claimed they were understaffed though there were four employees their and only one was doing her job and I felt very bad for that employee because she was doing all the work while everyone else was just standing around doing minial including the manager. After the manager gave my ma the drink she had a question and the manager just flat out ignored her. So very unhappy with this location, it’s not the...
Read moreIt is getting very frustrating at how rude the baristas are here. Not all of them but enough to make getting coffee here a hassle. First time had to do with a gift card. My mobile app said I had $18 dollars on a gift card. Balance was $11 something. Drive through chick scanned it and said my balance was still $11. I asked her how if I had $18 on a gift card. She said “well it didn’t go though your balance is $11.” I asked her to try again she huffed and scanned it and said “yeah still $11.”
Second time was just today. I placed a mobile order for my husband to pick up. We live 10 mins away so we knew it would be ready by the time he got there. Or so we thought. He gets there and there is nothing waiting on the counter so he patiently waits for the order to come out. Someone rudely asks what he’s waiting on and he says he’s waiting on a mobile order. The barista (female) looks at him, rolls her eyes, shakes her head and goes to the mobile printer and sees the tickets. Rips the tickets off and makes the order. No apology not any words just makes the coffee and places it on the counter.
You’d think they’d be a little more cautious with their attitudes serving people who haven’t had their coffee yet. I get that a lot of times people can be rude to them (because they haven’t had their coffee yet) but that’s the life you chose. Don’t take it out on the...
Read moreIt's not the age of the employees - all locations have the same average age. It's the management - maybe it's the best they can do with the gene pool in the area. I watched 5 employees, each performing their own little task, a couple not really doing anything urgent (putting beans in already full machines, e.g.), while my mobile order sat on the counter, waiting to be completed. I smiled at an associate, taking a drive through order, when I first arrived - she looked directly at me, and didn't acknowledge me, but smiled at her "bean-filling" male co-worker. Then, I witnessed 3 of the associates discussing their customers that didn't know how to order coffee - poking fun at them. The store was not busy - besides myself, maybe 5 customers that were sitting in the store. Last I checked, Starbucks is dependent on its customers - the baristas get paid well to assist those of us that aren't as well-versed in ordering a $7 cup of coffee. Careful, folks - save the ridicule for the break room and pay attention to those who are waiting to be served! I recommend you send these kids to your I-35 and Univ store in Georgetown, for a refresher of the Starbucks values! And, sadly, this Cedar Park store has only been open a...
