Food City — Local services in Chandler

When I was shopping for my groceries I stopped at the deli.. the two Deli girls were so rude.. Barley addressing me and taking forever to take my order. I always order a kid's meal when I'm shopping.. they called a manager.. the manager told them to cook me a red chili burrito and how long it would take they said 5 to 10 minutes I went to the bathroom came back and they gave me some old kind of shriveled burrito that had been there for who knows how long.. I took it out and told them that was not nice of them they called another manager and he came and gave me a refund.. the whole process took about 45 minutes when a nice experience with take less than 5.. I love having a deli at Food City but if they can't have nice employees maybe they're going to lose lots of business there.. I told the manager to watch the video and see how long it took because it was ridiculous the attitude.. I think the employee number is 3368.. I should have just left the first couple minutes I was there.. but I come to Food City to have a wonderful experience and go to the deli and do my grocery shopping and there's no reason for an employee to be so mean and unfriendly to customers trying to shop.. I was the only customer in line at the time it was about 3:00 and they don't close until 5:00 they shouldn't have been out of any items and when I waited 10 minutes to have one prepared it should have been fresh.. absolutely appalling there's very many grocery stores and they should be doing the very best to keep the customers coming.. one employee said well I don't speak English that's okay I spoke Spanish to her both of them acted like I was a waste their time in an inconvenience. The manager was very nice and took time to listen to me I hope this situation is corrected.. because I love Food City and I hope to continue...

Food City gets three stars. It is a grocery store, nothing spectacular, nothing terrible, just right in the middle. They do have some unique items you might not find at other places, which is cool, but then they are missing some of the more common stuff I usually grab. For me, grocery shopping is a one stop deal. I like to get in, get everything I need, and get out without having to make a second trip somewhere else. Food City just does not quite get the job done for that.

Prices are solid. You can find some good deals and save a little if you know what you are looking for. The store itself is clean, shelves are stocked, and everything is organized well enough. Employees are exactly what you would expect from a grocery store. Some are friendly, some are just doing their job, and that is fine. I have never had a bad experience, but nothing that blew me away either.

If you are shopping for specific things or just trying to grab a few quick items, it works. But if you are trying to knock out a full grocery list in one go, it may not...

Today I had to have the rudest girl in the store help us .and our food showed it too .I ordered chicken tacos and I think I hit her explode button omg !!! She said I can't read your mind ....I said ok ..she said we have several kinds of chicken in the hot area what do you want ...I said oh ok I'll just have three chkn tacos ...she exploded again which kinda chicken do you want I said wow I didn't know ordering chkn tacos was this hard .you look at those unattractive tacos she made me you guys come on I had to give them the dog I wouldn't eat something that she could have altered I didn't trust them .so food City good luck with her there .i believe she had wavey hair possible not fully Hispanic definitely not the politeness of a traditional Hispanic and surely not the hospitality of food City standards and i won't be back .thank you for allowing this post to better your business as im positive you don't want girls like that serving your customers or representing your name to that degree .thanks again...
