So I’ve been wanting to try Long Wongs For a while and my daughters had a chorus concert at Chandler Center for the Performing arts, So when they broke for lunch I was driving down Arizona Avenue and decided to try it!! When I first pulled in, the parking lot was empty at roughly 11:45am, being someone that works in the food industry I know that’s normally a bad sign, but I proceeded to park and go in, As I enter, I immediately notice that it’s colder inside than it is outside and there’s one lonely person sitting in the entire restaurant!! The young man at the register (Either not trained Correctly or didn’t care), as I asked him questions about the menu, he clearly didn’t really know the answer. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, potato twists and a drink, paid and went to sit down after five minutes or so I went up to request my drink started at the counter for a good five minutes. Nobody came out so I got to sit back down two other people walk in. He comes out as soon as they get to the counter. After Probably 10 to 15 minutes the food comes out and this is where things go bad quickly. The potato twist were raw and cold. The burger had no bacon or onion (When requested I was treated like an inconvenience and given some broken up bacon in a hotdog boat) it was also thinner than some toilet paper I’ve seen, dried out and looked like a mushroom due to being cheap Processed frozen freezer burnt Questionable beef!!! When I asked to speak to a manager for a refund, the kid disappeared to the back Returned gave me a cash refund when I use my card to purchase never gave me a receipt and I never saw a manager!!! I’m hoping that this is not normal practice and not how things are normally done, But in the world were first impressions or everything and restaurants are a dime a dozen, The experience I had today is definitely not one that would make me want to return in the future!!!!
PS was too angry to take pictures, Also, there’s a Burger King just down the road. Food was much...
Read moreBeen going to this Long Wongs for a few years now and I have seen the decline in the quality and quantity of their food. I normally order the 18 wings and Hawaiian pizza combo. The pizza crust used to be very tasty and the toppings were generous, but in the last year and a half the pineapple and ham are hardly visible on the pizza and the amount of tomato sauce is non existent at all. In fact, it's so dry that it almost tastes like plain bread. I still will buy it out of habit to accompany with their wings, which overall have been good. Except one time when some of the wings had a lot of dark meat, but this happened long time ago and I haven't had that problem since then. The problem I had just yesterday is that the pizza had a smell of burnt oil. From the top the pizza appeared "normal", but once we started eating it, the bread tasted rancid. Then we discovered underneath the crust sign that portions of the pizza got burnt. It was already late on a Friday night to take it back to them plus I live far from their location to take the pizza back. And decided to take it back the next day, which didn't happen because I got busy with other important matters, so I decided to call within less than 24hrs to let them know. I talked to two employees that gave so much push back and tried to prove I had no basis to get a better pizza in return. I didn't asked for the full refund as we ate the wings, but the pizza we couldn't continue eating it as the smell and taste was just not edible. The only thing they gave me was an email as they said there is no manager during the weekends, which again just proves they were putting excuses to not deal with my issue anymore. I'm really disappointed at the lack of attention they paid to my concern and that they were not willing to make me whole. They lost a customer and any future people I would have...
Read moreOrdered wings for take out, not very complicated right? So I arrive having given them plenty of time to make and prepare our order. When I go in and give my name they try to ring me up for an order that was 5 times larger than my actual order. I let them know what my order was and then they were searching around still asking me questions until they finally find it. Their reason for trying to charge me for someone else's order and not being able to find mine was simply your name wasn't on it. No sorry, no accepting responsibility, it almost seemed like they thought it was my fault that they were unorganized. So I asked if they accept credit now which they finally do but there's a fee for it. OK w/e I'll pay the damn fee, so I pay and finally get my wings and the girl looks at the receipt to see if I tipped and when she noticed I didn't she rudely gave me a dirty look and turned. No thank you, no have a good night, just a stupid young girl reaction to not getting an undeserved tip. The wings were too salty and weren't even that good, felt like I was gonna have a blood pressure problem from eating them. We should've just gone to Zipps like my wife wanted to. Wouldn't recommend this place, especially b/c you can get better wings for a similar...
