The store is lovely and has such a dreamy aesthetic, and as a long-time (online) LoveShackFancy customer, I was truly looking forward to my first visit here in Charleston. It was also my 11-year-old goddaughter’s first time, and she was so excited to see it in person. She purchased a small perfume, and unfortunately, we felt this was treated as less significant. Every other customer seemed to leave with a bag tied with the ribbon, a small but a detail that we all noticed, so I brought my friend back to request one. While the ribbon itself is not essential, it was disheartening to see the difference in treatment. The associate mentioned they often don’t use or even have the ribbon (shocking), and although she added one for us, it felt more like an obligation than a genuine gesture.
While the merchandise is undeniably lovely, the customer service fell short, especially for a brand of this caliber. In high end retail, the experience should be as beautiful and thoughtful as the products themselves.
The true measure of a premium brand lies in its ability to make every client feel valued, appreciated, and delighted to return, whether they are acquiring an entire wardrobe or a single fragrance.
Kindness and attentiveness cost nothing, yet they are what truly make a store and brand memorable. I hope this serves as a gentle reminder that exceptional service should be extended to every guest, regardless of the size of...
Read moreI went to this store w/ my wife & daughters during our visit to Charleston. Design was next level! You definitely appreciate the whimsy and delicate beauty of this store. I put it on the level w/ Sag Harbor - I we can't wait to go to SoHo! The design gave me inspiration to build my girls a Hammack Swing enshrouded in vines and flowers... So thanks for the inspiration, you made this Dad a hit! Now onto the service and products.... Service was absolutely amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful. They gave great suggestions and were helpful finding sizes... The products - just beautiful! Whether you are shopping for clothes, jewelry, fragerances, collabs or home - they had everything and even of they didn't have something they were helpful in having it shipped if needed. They also stand behind their products, where do you see that these days; we had an issue with one of the dresses we bought and they were so very helpful in resolving that for us. And the Pop-Ups! On our last visit to Charleston in August, we ran into the cutest pop-up and two beutiful Rainbow Row sweatshirts ended up being added during our visit. We have now been several times and we cannot visit Charleston without stopping in. And lastly, kudos for having somewhere to sit for the Dad's! A comfortable Dad = more sales (at least for...
Read moreIf you’re POC just don’t go to this store. Just don’t. You’ll save yourself the absolute displeasure of having a young worker trying to almost yank every product off your hands if you hold them for longer than what it felt like 2-3 minutes tops, so that they can “hold it for you at the register for when you’re ready to pay :)” with the fakest, most mean girl smile you’ve ever seen since Regina George. While I was in there, I didn’t see the same kind of treatment to those other customers and I went on a busy day, so there were PLENTY of people that had things on their arms or were holding them around the store, yet I was the only one swarmed by 2-3 girls constantly, but what would someone like me know, right? I was excited to get myself a present, but after the third time of experiencing this in less than 15 minutes, I left. I didn’t experience this when I visited the New York location but maybe now this is the standard. Such a shame because they have great designs and nice quality but apparently it is the 1950’s in there. It felt like the only reason they didn’t have a sign saying what people are allowed in there, is because it’s illegal to do so. But in my opinion, you’ll feel unwelcome enough that it has the same...
