We are a family of many allergies and had this place recommend to us because they have advertised lots of vegan flavors. We saw the menu online with all the allergens listed, except it said ânutâ but did not specify. The flavors were good. We were glad to have a vegan gluten free cone too! However, they are not safe for allergies as they put all scoops from vegan and non vegan flavors all together so there is a lot of cross contamination. My daughter does not normally react to a small bit of contamination but reacted immediately. I asked if they use the same scoops and was told yes but could use a fresh scoop if asked, but that does not help the fact that itâs been scooped by the contaminated container rendering them not safe. If you advertise vegan and gluten free, you should take the one extra step and have water for spoons that are separate and not contaminating! With 4/4 people in our family with allergies it is very exciting to finally find a place we can enjoy, but was super disappointed with the night ending with finding a store to buy Benadryl.
**edited to add that I saw a sign, my husband and teen said they saw no sign. And I did ask several times âthese are vegan and safe correctâ and they said yes, yes we take responsibility for not listing all our allergies (with 4 of us and 14 different allergies) when a line was out the door and didnât want cause a fuss). When asked after about their allergy procedures I was told about a fresh scoop but not about a fresh tub. At that point my daughter wanted to get medicine immediately and didnât want us to even say anything or fix it. I am pleased to hear you have a procedure for allergies. No need to make it right. We take responsibility for our part. But anyone with allergies will tell you itâs exhausting to describe every allergy every time you order something and when you think you find somewhere you can just be ânormalâ and itâs not safe either itâs defeating. The place was beautiful, the staff was great, and it was super busy but they moved the line...
Read moreOne of the things we enjoy doing every week is having our ice cream dates. We head out and take a little time to kick back and enjoy a couple scoops. And our favorite ice cream spot in the Charleston area is hands-down Off Track. Itâs always a struggle to decide which flavors to get since they have so many incredible regular flavors alongside amazing seasonal choices.
When we were planning our wedding, we started down the normal path of having a cake for the reception. That was the direction we were heading up until about a month before the wedding. We visited Off Track for our weekly ice cream date and took notice of the ice cream cart they had inside the shop. It didnât take long for us to decide that we wanted to put our own personal spin on our reception dessert - local ice cream! Not only was that totally us, but is also paired well with our Indian dessert - gulab jamun.
The process of booking the cart and choosing the flavors could not have been easier. Alissa was fantastic throughout the booking process, including working with us on our fluctuating guest count. And as we expected, Off Track was a huge success at the wedding. Guests are still telling us how good it was. We love hearing about how much they enjoyed the ice cream, but of course we already knew how amazing Off Track is. Having them at the wedding was such a fun and unique way for us...
Read morethe ice creams really gave me diarrhea. It is not organized, the menu is not understood. It should have flavors in sight. besides that the cone biscuits are too fragile, very unpleasant. the attention is good but the public falls in love with the view, and if you do not see it tastes it is like asking for harvests. I know the 7 clients who entered after me, they did not understand the menu as I say the view is very, very important, imagine that I want to go with my family, which are approximately more than 8 children, it is not comfortable explaining to each one what they want to say no it is viable to go with children, I can understand that adults read the menu but a child as much as an adult DIAFRUTA TO SEE THE PRODUCT, I respect the way they serve but they have to exploit the business even more, it is all very beautiful and I repeat the very good attention For example, a TV costs between $ 200 to $ 600, which can give images of the colorful menu for children and adults who, when passing by a vehicle, do not think twice about stopping to buy what I saw in the image. something like that I mean the menu, I respect everything and it's just an opinion that I dare to tell you as a customer. ...
