🚨🚨Please Read 🚨🚨 I have been going here for almost 25 years to get my hair braided. I will never ever go back to Aamavis Hair Braiding in this life time. I went in this pass Thursday (May 30,2024) to get two goddess briads. When I got there the young lady working the front dresk was telling me no one their could do them so I switch to corn rows because I have been working out and don’t want to sweat my hair out. They could not just give me a price. So I started to walk out and the owner says no I have someone to do it. I go and sit in the chair the lady started to braid my hair she was so nasty and rude. Wouldn’t smile speak or nothing. I asked her if she had a small mirror so I can see the braid to make sure she was doing it right because I was told no one there knew how to do them. She said no there go a mirror right here. I told her that was ok and to take the braid out. She was very rude. Why put your hands in my head and be mean to me. So I left and Aamavi called me and asked me what happened I told her and she asked me to come back and that she had someone to do me two cornrows for $40.00. So I came back she sit me with a female that just came America for 1 month and she did not speak English at all. So they told her what I wanted the young lady tried to do one braid 5 times . She called another lady over and took the braid out I said that’s ok because clearly they knew she could not do it. So Aamavis has here sister to stop doing someone’s else’s hair and come do me know 6 cornrow for $75.00. I had already spent 1 hour 1/2 getting tossed around and folks using me as a learning tools as if I went to a beauty college School. So the lady starts braiding my hair she was pulling my hair so tight and to top it she even parted my hair crooked. I paid $78.00 and picked up a pair of earrings and thought I paid for them. On my way to my car the young lady that worked the window chased me down and told me she forgot to ring them up so I gave them back.So the 3 extra dollars I was paid was for paying with card. After all I went threw and the bad service I got and have spent big money with this business over the years this how I was treated. I will also be disputing the charge as I had to take my hair down I gave them half of my day that I had off from work. I will be disputing this charge Monday Morning this buisness is not what use to be. Don’t waste your time this place is a dump…😡 look at the parts...

This is my second visit here. My first visit i came on a Sunday and had a smoother experience. However, this time i came on a Saturday and pre booked and spent 9 hours getting my hair braided. I asked for waist length knotless braids and they barely come to the middle of my back. My braids are not the same length. Some braids are longer than the others. I should have known when they were trying to make room for me although i had booked online i should have walked out . The first braided who started on my hair didn’t know how to part so the few rows she did had to be taken out . I had three bewilders in my hair mind you my braids are not even waist length so why the multiple people in my head? Someone was getting butt length unless and started after me and was almost done before me. Ridiculous! If you don’t have the time for your pre booked appoints just say that. Don’t give me trial and error people who need to practice their braiding skills. I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit as they took their time and all the braids were even. When it comes to check out she literally wanted to charge me the same price i paid last time. I paid 220 for waist length and she was going to charge me 200 for them to be uneven and not even to the middle of my back. There is no set price range here . They think of the price of the top of their head and run with it. This place came recommended by one of their family members which is even more upsetting. The worst experience ever. Firstly I'm very big on professionalism and those girls are not professional one bit. one of the girls at one point was eating and then touched a customer hair I mean yuckkkkk that is unsanitary and gross. Secondly they do not know how to do natural hair even though I called in advance and asked them specifically. Thirdly all the girls started speaking French not realizing that I am fluent in French and three other languages, they started laughing and talking about my hair at one point about three of them came over and started touching and laughing and talking trash. Then before I left the front desk lady or what ever she does said "your hair was so thick and curly that's why it took long". I know that ,that's why I called in advance and even had a conversation with two of the stylist when I came in to be certain. if your stylist are not equipped to handle thick curly natural hair then don't tell customers to come in just because you want to get money. My hair didn't even last a month with the poor quality hair they use the main girl Ana that worked on my hair was okay the other girls need some lessons or something I took those twist out after like 5 weeks. I've never given a bad review and this is just my experience and my opinion others might be different but as for me I will not be going back to this establishment I rather go to New York and pay the same money for high quality hair and professional stylist....
