Let me first say that I love shopping at Dollar Tree. I prefer it 100 times more than any other store but this experience was horrible. It left me feeling sour and at a new low. If you're Hispanic or of any other race avoid the Caucasian Cashier with holes at the bottom of her shirt and glasses over her head, probably in her late 50's. She will make you feel like crap. I always buy the glass shaped hearts, stars, bowls and candle holders from Dollar Tree so I know the procedure. They always are kind enough to wrap my glass with either paper towel or left over add paper. Yesterday, this particular cashier first looked at me up and down and then did not want to wrap my glass with the brown paper towel that was right behind her. She decided to wrap each individual glass with more plastic bags. I asked her to please wrap it with the brown paper towel but she shook her head and said that the glass wont break. I even offered to go and grab it for her, judging from what she said to the first customer in front of me, I knew she was tired. She watched me walk closer to the paper towel and continued to shake her head. I was not only embarrassed but shocked by the way she made me feel in front of the other customers. My boyfriend was in the car waiting for me and he noticed how hard I was trying to keep from tearing up. He understood though. He even mentioned that the second lady in front of me (who was also Hispanic) was treated unkindly. The same cashier was throwing all her items in the bags with no kindness at all. Dollar Tree needs to re-interview and retrain this cashier. I'm all about...
Read moreI don't like to leave bad reviews, but, I believe that customers should be aware of what to expect at times. I'm sorry that the old manager left, but I understand. I'll put it like this...if you go to any establishment right after they open and there's trash in the parking lot and the cans are overflowing, yikes! It's unfortunate that customer service and cleanliness has taken such a hit almost everywhere you go and it's pointless to complain to the corporate office. I have limited my reasons to go there as much as I used to. When an entrepreneur opens a "Chick-Fil-A" style of low price stores, don't be surprised...just go there. Please and...
