China Fun Restaurant — Restaurant in Charlotte

Picked up our orders tonight 11/29 at 8:30pm. The lady at the front desk gave us difficulty about placing two orders and tried to make us pay for one order. She could have simply closed the ticket and started a new order versus trying to force us to pay for multiple orders. If we had hung up and called back she would have had to place another order anyway!! After checking with her manager she then let us place two separate orders and was super pushy about it. My friend placed the order and I heard her read out the orders to confirm everything. We gave them an extra ten minutes to ensure everything would be ready. When we get there we give the two separate order numbers and she lies and says she does not have both orders. At this point I come inside and she magically finds the order despite being told the exact same orders a minute before… she then tries to cut me off when I confirm the orders to her. She also tries to lie and say she didn’t take our order so she didn’t know what was going on… now girl.. we come here on a regular basis. I highly doubt there was a shift change in 30 minutes an hour and a half before closing AND your female voices just happen to sound the same. The service tonight was terrible and we will not be returning. Charlotte has plenty of mediocre restaurants that won’t burn your food, give you attitude, and terrible service. I prefer to give the benefit of doubt especially during times of low staffing, but when we were not rude to you but you give us bad attitude then my regard for your feelings goes out the window. I’ve been on this side of town for 4 years and have been searching for good Chinese and I finally found a spot to rave about! This place is so good and affordable! I really like the garlic chicken (spicy) combo and the hot and sour soup. The garlic chicken is flavorful with lots of veggies to make you feel like you’re eating healthy and the fried rice has a nice flavor too. Im picky when it comes to fried rice and in theirs they include peas carrots and onions but no egg, not a dealbreaker but egg goes in fried rice in my opinion. The egg roll was eh, I could do without that. Now the hot and sour soup is the best I’ve had in charlotte! They actually put chicken in the hot and sour soup which I’ve never seen but I’m not complaining lol it’s delicious! There are a lot of Chinese places around here but this is the only one that has stood out to me.

I got very sick after eating this food. I had veggie soup and shrimp and broccoli, with white rice. I did notice the sauce looked a little thicker than usual. It was the only meal i had all day. Woke up in the middle of the night sweating, on the toilet, and so much belly pain. I thought I was going to have to visit the ER. Never will i eat that food again. I noticed the nice lady that i think own the place was not there. When i ordered my food for pickup over the phone it was a young lady with a rude rushing attitude. I went to pick up my food and it was young people at the the register. The customer service was not the same.
