CFA is held to a higher standard than other fast food chains. I don’t eat fast food much, maybe once a month. Yet somehow, every time I go to other chains, they manage to forget an item or completely mess up an order. For this reason, I have almost exclusively eaten fast food at CFA. I’ve never been to this particular location, but I was in the area and decided to order ahead through the app while I was at the DMV, thinking it would save me some time.
After finishing at the DMV, I headed over to pick up my order, only to find out it had been canceled. That was frustrating, but I figured I’d just go through the drive-thru instead.
When I placed my order again through the drive-thru, my sister’s 8-count nuggets were missing. It wasn’t even busy, and all I could think was, "Just put the fries in the bag, unc!" To top it off, I had asked for lite ice, but my drink was filled to the brim with ice. By the time I noticed, we had already driven off, and my sister was understandably frustrated that her food was incomplete.
When I called the location to request a refund, the associate informed me that they couldn’t issue a refund and could only offer the meal at that specific location. This forced me to dispute the charge with my credit card company, which was annoying and definitely not something I expected from CFA.
It made me think about how American consumers have become so complacent with the fast food industry. These chains can hand you a completely messed-up order, and customers will still say "thank you" with a smile as if nothing’s wrong. We’ve become too used to accepting poor service or incomplete meals without holding these companies accountable. It would also be helpful if the app allowed you to schedule a pick-up time, especially when you’re ordering ahead.
Overall, this experience was disappointing, especially given CFA’s reputation for quality service and attention to detail. Sadly this was the last straw that broke the camel's back. CFA needs...
Read moreWent in with the family after going to ikea just trying to have the same great experience I always have. I went and ordered (didn’t get my receipt) while the family got our table. So far so good. Waiting on our order it’s obviously busy so I wait. Another 20 minutes as I wait patiently making sure to make eye contact when people are delivering trays and having my color container on the table. I am a patient person and showed 0 sign of anger towards the staff since they were busy working on drive thru orders. I go up and ask about my order I explain that I ordered #1,#2 deluxe, and #3 12 piece , and 2 sides of fries (since my two youngest will only eat the frys). They say they will bring it to me. I get my sandwiches for combos but no fries. I go up and ask for my Frys they give me two more and I went back up to ask for the last (5 fries total- 1 for each combo and 2 sides) the person bagging the order comes to talk to me personally and asks me to explain my order. I told her I was never given a receipt and she rolls her eyes at me insinuating that I am lying about my order since I don’t have my receipt. It is now 1 hour that I have been in this location without eating. I sit down to eat and my kids are already irate at the wait that we have endured and I can’t calm them down. I have to leave and take all of my food to go. I have never ever had this issue in the past and we love this location. It is obvious that we were neglected or overlooked and that is ok, but the simple fact that I was treated as if I was trying to swindle food out of them because the messed up my order and making an already horrible experience even worse was no fun at all.
It’s clear that the focus and model is more focused on drive thru at this location so be weary and make sure to check on your order if you wait more than 10-15 minutes just to be safe and save yourself from having to go through with...
Read moreI know we all have our bad days, but the experience at this particular Chick-Fil-A, had to be the worst I've ever had with the fast food chain... For starters, I ordered through the mobile app with the impression that I would be able to check in and drive-thru fairly quickly, as I had ordered ahead; nope, not the case. They technically have one drive thru line that separates, then merges back into one line. It provides no convenience to the person that has ordered ahead. Secondly, the set-up of the drive-thru is complete chaos! You enter off Albemarle Road to only drive around the entire building with no access to the other side, unless you drive out their parking lot and back in. After getting in line, I knew it was going to be a long wait ... but hey, I had time. Next, as I sat there, I heard the staff taking other orders and as they walked pass me, they were swearing!!! And did not give a care in the world. I am not accustomed to this type of language in the drive-thru at the Lord's restaurant!!! (lol). The employees were nice, but lacked customer awareness skills. Finally, I get to the front of the line ... mind you, I had waited a good 15 minutes, for them not to have my order ready. I ordered a milkshake; nothing complicated, their new Banana Pudding milkshake, and I had to pull up. Only for him to come out 30 seconds later with the drink????!!!! I am not sure who the owner/operator of this location is, but please reach out to the operator in Harrisburg. I believe he owns both restaurants in the area and does a phenomenal job managing...
