I was not happy with the stylist Crystal. She used gel to harden in the crown of my child's hair for braids. Then she used a different type of gel for the sides & back which was not for my daughters texture of hair, her natural hair unraveling and the side of her hair started waving up. She doesn't have enough experience unless it's regular braids without hair added/ extensions. She doesn't braid the ends well. Also the braids are loose. She also has her children at work with her, they need diapers changed and another worker does it for her, she's use too unsanitary work environments, she stored food by the hair products openly, as if she's in a basement or kitchen. Meaning she will drop a comb, brush, towel on the floor, pick it up and keep going back in forth between client with the same items that dropped on a nasty floor. I don't know what the other stylist does but she's not professional at all, she needs to go. Loose & unbothered but wants your to pay 60$ for a braid or two and it's not worth it. Lesson learned though. Now look y'all getting bad reviews. From Cibao 1,2&3. A lot has changed over a year...
Read moreDecent pricing for men’s haircut and braiding. The stylist, Crystal, is very talented but takes forever (total of 4 hours, takes many breaks including pouring herself cups of alcoholic beverages) for men’s short hair. Men might receive good customer service but God forbid they bring in their partner (me) and they don’t greet you. I also found one of the other lady staff (who’s not a braider & I think her name is Chanel) stalking my partner’s (who was Crystal’s customer) social media. Crystal also texts my friend telling me to remove my negative review from Yelp (it’s still in there). Being a business owner myself, I would have apologized for the customer’s experience and offered something that could bring their business back. Every review I leave for a business is well deserved and if staff thinks otherwise, just do better. We will not be back and I won’t be recommending this...
Read moreDo NOT come here if you have a curly hair type. I came in with my curly hair washed and detangled, and was told I needed a service that did absolutely nothing for me, which upped the price way more than necessary. I asked for layers of a specific length and was denied, then told another length would look better on me. The stylist brushed out my hair with no regard to my hair texture, leaving knots where there previously weren’t any and pulling hair out. I asked for layers but you cannot see the layers at all, so my hair was basically just cut shorter (and not even the desired length). My hair was also straightened when all I came in for was a cut. On the way out I was nearly charged $25 extra for another service I didn’t even get. My hair feels damaged and I now have lots of flyaways and short strands. I was charged $127 and feel like it was all a waste. Terrible...
