the employees in this store should be ashamed of themselves ! i came into the store on 6/27 looking for a dress for a wedding that evening, it was an emergency ! i was wearing just my street clothes, as i had come from working in my workshop- just shorts and an old tee shirt. upon walking in, the young man and older woman at the front desk across from the front door made eye contact, put their heads down and didn't say hello or one single word. i was searching through the racks for a dress, and no one offered to help or even acknowledged my existence, or even said hello. after a couple of minutes, a couple came in, dressed in lululemon and vineyard vines. they were immediately greeted, and asked if they needed assistance. after that, many more people came in that were clearly from away and visiting, in fancy clothes and were greeted and helped. this is the SECOND time this has happened to me IN THIS STORE !!! needless to say, i went down the street to Lily Pulitzer, where i was greeted immediately by a young woman, who helped me pull 3 dresses, which i purchased. that was 1,000 dollars you could have made at your store, but i would NEVER support a business that is judge mental and rude ! the last time i came in, i was also in street clothes, wanting to purchase some vineyard vines outfits for my boyfriend that i saw in the window. again, i walked in, made eye contact with the sales associates, but nothing- not even a hi or hello. i instead went online and purchased the outfits from there. so disappointing and RUDE ! never judge a book by its cover, just because people aren't wearing fancy clothes doesn't mean they can't afford what's in your store ! i will never ever shop here, and will let people know of the judge...

I was recently in Chatham for a wedding and went shopping in Puritan. Lovely and extremely helpful Associates Upon returning to Maine I realized I lost a bracelet I had for 25 years. On a whim I called the Chatham Puritan store and told them my story about losing my bracelet. The lady who answered the phone was so excited to let me know they found my bracelet on their floor at the store. I cannot thank them enough for their honesty and holding onto the bracelet they found and hoping someone would call to say they had lost one. Megan at Puritan is phenomenal. My husband and I are local and were in a bind and Megan at Puritan in Chatham came to the rescue. We were in the area with friends before my husband had to rush to work and we had a work shoe mishap. I called Puritan directly and they put aside a new pair of work shoes for my husband so he could rush in and buy them and make it to work in time.
