On Sunday, December 16, 2018 I had a very awkward and offensive encounter with a supervisor. First, the cashier was great. The supervisor, on the other hand, was not. There was a sale sign, I took a picture since it required multiple item purchases. When the discount didn't ring the cashier called a supervisor who said the promo expired and she could not honor a picture. I advised the sign was still up but she could not find an available team member to find it so she looked. A few minutes later the supervisor indicated she could not find the sign. At that moment I felt like I was being labeled a liar. Therefore, I escorted the supervisor back to the sign. She picked it up and said it was laying on the shelf and still did not want to honor the sale. At that moment the supervisor made it seem as if I planted the sign there. So much so, she wanted to zoom into the picture I originally showed her as if to prove I actually took the photo there that day (all while holding the sign in her hand). I think I was in so much disbelief I was speechless. The supervisor then said she had to ask her boss if she could honor the promotion she was currently holding in her hand. Over 10 minutes later she gave the discount without any apology for my wait. The cashier, who appeared stunned too, apologized after she bagged my items. I typically give people the benefit of the doubt. However, after I recounted the multiple awkward moments and asked others if I was over thinking this, I decided to share this encounter with Target Corporate office. How did I violate some procedure at Target to warrant such treatment from...
Read moreIf I could give a zero I would. My mother was in the store today where she experienced a panic attack. She was disregarded by employees and made to feel worse. Though there was one employee at the service desk, to which I am grateful for that coached her through the episode. Although he was ripped away by other supervising staff because he was taking too long to help someone in need. The women who took over the purchase completely disregarded her. What kind of service is that? Seeing people are a price tag rather than actual human beings. Disgusting, and frankly disappointing. I gave target the benefit of the doubt after them being in the press regarding policies and procedures though after this. Never again. I can’t fathom spending time and money at a place where their workers have a blatant disregard for the human experience. Why would you expect anyone to spend money at a place where they cannot rely on staff to provide assistance when needed. Or I don’t know ask if someone is ok? Maybe it’s target or humanity but if I were the supervisor that is not how I would encourage my...
Read moreI ordered same day delivery through Shipt. Fawn was the delivery person, who was prompt on the delivery (within an hour of receiving the order). Unfortunately, one item blew off of the porch (after another delivery was placed next to it by another service) Unfortunately, I thought I didn't receive that item and had reported it missing. I have contacted Shipt and Target and have been told they will note the employee was not at fault. I hope she received the recognition. Fawn was very prompt in her delivery and made a child very happy in receiving her gift (on time) by an Aunt a few thousand miles away. Thank you Target for having the items and thank you Shipt, Fawn, for being sweet in...
