I wanted to leave a great review but recent events have taken my 5 and even 3 star ability away. Myself and a friend scheduled a custom bag making, which I cannot recommend enough. We were able to see materials that were limited and really make our dream bags. Unfortunately, this is the last of the good review. The process to make the custom bag hit a bit of a snag when the materials were unavailable. I understood consumer material delays and production delays but the follow up from the store front was lacking. I relayed to the team that I was ok with the delay due to being out of town for two weeks. I would check the status weekly with the store associates and continuously receive emails the review my product and experience, despite not having received my bag. Once my bag was ready, I did not receive a call or email as promised I had to continue to check back. Upon pick up I felt hustled out of the store by the associate while she helped other customers who had not yet made a purchase. I loved my bag, I was so excited to use it. One week later I was finally able to use the bag, and noticed the exterior front zipper did not function. I immediately called the store to confirm it was infact a functioning zipper. I hadn't checked the template bag in the custom event, so I thought maybe it was just for looks and not functional. The associate on the phone advised me to bring the bag in to be looked at at my earliest convenience. The next day I headed back into the store. When returning to the store I again was met by the associate who quickly hurried me out previously, and again she seemed very uninterested in helping me since I had already made a purchase. I relayed what my issues was and after tugging on the zipper she stated it seems to have been crammed in there, implying I had infact damaged the bag. She quickly wisked it back to the production area. Upon her return I asked if this often occurs, and she said relayed all of their bags are checked before being delivered, again implying I had damaged the bag. She then relayed it would a few days and they would be in contact, and hurried me out the door. To me this almost appeared as a move to not bring attention to the in-store shoppers. This was now two weeks ago. It's disheartening that one, a person saves up to have this bag and process, only to be belittled and accused by an employee. And two that the quick fix isn't done, and when you call to check the status, they continue to tell you it's delayed and to check back. I feel as if once I made the initial purchase at our custom night I was no longer a valued customer. It was a lot of fun to pick out the stitching, leather, inside fabric, etc. and a lot easier than i thought it would be. I thought i would be waiting awhile since it was a custom order and i placed my order right after Christmas. Though i was pleasently shocked when my custom order was complete and mailed to me within 6 weeks. My purse looked perfect, it was exactly as i had visioned it. I did order a wallet card holder that was not in the original package with my purse. I emailed Alexis Drake Customer Support and they responded to all my emails very promptly and were very helpful.
