I purchased a compound bow from Sportsman's Warehouse online. I drove to Cheyenne the next day ( 1 1/2 hour drive ) and the employees at first couldn't find the bow or box it was in. They found the bow but not the box after an about an hour wait. I got home after another 1 1/2 drive only to find there were pieces missing. I called Sportsman's Warehouse to tell them the stabilizer, peep sight, wrist strap and arrow quiver were missing. I was told they found the missing parts except for the wrist strap. I also asked for help dialing the bow in, since this is my first bow. The sales associate told me he only works one day a week and goes to college and can't guarantee he'd be able to help me. I told him I'm retired and can be there anytime. I got no reply from him about a day or tiime to help me dial it in. The following day I drove to Cheyenne again to pickup the missing parts. I get home again from Cheyenne and I'm still missing parts. I was missing the peep sight and hardware for the quiver. Now I get to go to Cabelas and pay them to help me dial the bow in. Also when my wife and I went to pick up the bow, my wife asked the cashier if she could put some sandals she was going to purchase for our grandson at the register. The cashier said she could. When we got home, apparently, somebody put some ammo on top of the sandals my wife was going to buy. My wife didn't notice the ammo being rung up and neither did I. We tried to return the ammo when we had to go back and get the missing parts. They wouldn't take the ammo back because state law doesn't allow it ammo to be returned after it leaves the store. Understandable, except for the fact we had no intention of purchasing it and the cashier who rung it up should have known that either another customer or she herself, put the ammo with the sandals. I WILL NEVER STEP ANOTHER FOOT IN Sportsman's Warehouse again and will tell my friends and family...
Read moreRecently I purchased a Pietta . 44 black powder gun from this store, spend right at $400 on one of their kits. So before shooting it for the 1st time I began to dismantle and clean the packing grease and oils from it. Using the tools supplied in the kit that I purchased. The nipple wrench upon the very 1st use broke at each tip thereby making it useless. So I reached out to S W thinking they would not have an issue in replacing a defective tool that was sold in one of their kits. A $400 kit might I add one more time. And the tool that needs replaced retails for around $10. However upon reaching a gentleman who introduced himself as the asst. manager began to quote corporate B. S to me. And anyone who has been in this situation knows it's a way to tell you no and not accept the blame in a bad decision. So I told the guy if you don't replace this simple part you will lose a customer forever. It not only didn't phase him but he began to get defensive and became a smart ass. Because when the telling him I'd never come back didn't work, then in a tight but calm manner told him I complain to the BBB, social media and that I'd write an email to his corporate office. At which to he replied "Would you like their number so you don't have to write an email?" Even if I am 100% in the wrong people, which I do not believe that I was, nor was I being a " Karen" screaming and yelling. In fact I never even ask for his boss. I should not have been dismissed nor treated in such a disrespectful manner. There has been a complaint filed with the BBB and this is the 3rd media venue I've posted in. So hopefully they will stop treating people in such fashion in the future. In the mean time I will have to go and repurchase that which I have already paid for. And needless to say S W, enjoy that pitting $400 because you will never get another...
Read moreDon't ask me why, but the lack of service here blew my mind. I was looking for a fishing boat online... They had 4 styles of the certain type I wanted online... They only had 2 of those styles in stock in Cheyenne. I was fairly happy about that considering the boat I wanted was said to be in stock at their store.. I drove 45 minutes to go buy a $1000 boat, and when I got there, it took me almost an hour to find someone who wanted to help. Waste of time right? Oh just wait, there is more. When I pulled up the boat on their website, and asked for help finding it, I was told that they don't have ANY of the boats I was looking at. Their answer? "Our online catalog always does this to our customers, I'm sorry." Needless to say, sounds like I am definitely not the only person that they have run in circles. 2.5 hours of my life I'll never get back, and usually I'm not one to complain. But, the lack of service, help, and good attitude really affected how I was going to review them. I hope you get the chance to read this before you waste your time here. If you have the time, go somewhere else for all of your needs. Hopefully these cats will grow up one day and fix their issues, rather than letting their customers down. HUGE...
