We were literally kids in a candy store. They had everything here from candies to chocolate to candied souvenirs of all sorts. They have a bulk section both downstairs and upstairs which was a bit expensive. We thought the prices were $7.99 per pound but I think got charged $15 per pound, so thankfully we only got about half a pound of bulk candy. They had interesting flavoured chocolate bars from peanut butter and jelly to bacon or potato chips. They have a whole section in the back of nostalgic candy too to being you back to the old days. Overall I'd recommend visiting this shop if you're on the mag mile.

We were introduced to candy we have never seen before by makers we've known for a lifetime! The variety and selection were amazing. Upstairs is the delicious fudge, downstairs is an ice cream bar. Many bins of candy that you pay by the pound, and then of course full size candy bars. The artwork of the place is also something of fantasy, reminding us of candy crush, or the board game Candy Land! Definitely a place to explore if someone in your group has a sweet tooth! You can get more than your fill here for sure.

We’ve been to Dylan’s Candy Bar in NYC and LOVED it. When we passed by the Chicago location, we were excited to add it to the itinerary. Sadly, the Chicago store is nothing like the Manhattan store. The service was horrible (hostess forgot to tell the server she sat us in her section, then was annoyed when we asked about placing an order) and the place was filthy (literally had bugs crawling on the walls and flies attacking us). They do have great desserts, but I won’t return to the Chicago location ever again.

Friday night I took three children to Dylan’s Candy bar in Chicago. We live in Northwest Indiana so it is roughly an hour drive for us to get there. I took the children ice-skating first then we headed to Dylan’s around 7:30pm. Before we went I looked at all the photos online even called the store to make sure of their hours. My kids were really looking forward to the cotton candy art. Once we arrived it was a complete disappointment. The cotton candy art is only until 7 PM. Which it does not say anything on the voicemail when you call or on their website. With three kids extremely disappointed I told them to go ahead and fill up a bag of candy. After looking around the store about 30 minutes the kids were ready to check out. I started the checkout process only one child was mine so I asked if things could be bagged individually. I received an absolutely rude and unacceptable response that it is one bag per customer. I said that was fine I will just have each of them ring up their own separately. The cashier got extremely rude and said she is just sick of this that they are going to run out of bags tonight anyhow so who cares. After she completed my purchase and tried overcharging me by double she slammed her door shut and stomped off to the elevator. She forgot to bag one of my items when I questioned her she got very upset and told the kids just grab another one off the shelf on your way out. When you look at the pictures online you’ll see these beautiful displays to take pictures by unfortunately the majority of those pictures are not taken in the Chicago location. It was a huge disappointment for my family and friends. Hopefully Dylan’s will work on...

I went there with my mother In law because we thought it was an actual candy bar there. Very wrong in the assumption. Then we walked around looking at all the candy and seen a sign that upon first look read 7.99 lb. So we dished out some candy thinking it was at that price and made sure we didn't go over that lb. When at the check out we thought it was rung up a little high. But we didn't cause a seen about it and paid and left. We thought we would check it out afterwards. So we got home amd looked at the receipt and notice it said 15.99. We were both shocked and said why did they charge us so much. We only had 1lb each. So I called to ask about it and they said "im sorry many people have misread the sign. It's 1/2lb for 7.99". I was very upset due to the fact that if many people have done the same thing in thinking the sign said a lb, then why not change it? They said the signs have been there for 3yr and I don't think they are going to change it. All I thought is wow, we didn't think it was a great deal at 7.99 a lb anyway, but thought well a little expensive but we will not go crazy. But at 7.99 for a 1/2 we would have never even gotten any. You could get more candy from the dollar store then what they were Offering for that price. I was very disappointed and u will probably never waste my money there again. If I was you, I would just go for the fudge and forget about...

After enjoying a winter company outing at Dylan's, I was excited to take my nieces for a post-theatre desert. Unfortunately, the second time around was very underwhelming. All four deserts came out not matching the description. Missing hot fudge, missing oreo cheesecake, vanilla ice cream instead of birthday cake, marshmallows that weren't toasted as advertised. We would have mentioned this to the server had she ever come over to ask how our food was. We actually had to ask someone to bring us our treats, because they were left sitting on the counter to melt. And who doesn't provide straws for a runny milkshake? When the server finally asked us how everything was at the end of the meal, we provided feedback. Her response: "if I was making them, you wouldn't have had these issues." My wife asked if she could at least do something for us on the bill. She came back and said, "my manager says if you would have brought this up earlier, we would have fixed them for you." When were we supposed to do that? And why couldn't you come over to say that to us yourself? Definitely will NOT be making a return to this...
