We purchased a three day city pass. We thought it had great value and a lot of things that you can do. The hop on hop off bus was included for a two day pass, which was great. We were able to go to plenty of the major attractions with it, including aquarium, the museum, sculptural, and architectural tour Chicago 360 and the Willis Tower, Among many others. We hit 11 attractions over the three days. There were more that we could’ve done, but we could not get to all of them. The one thing that is a challenge is that a lot of the attractions have rather short hours, so fitting in more than a few in a day is difficult. That’s not a pass issue, but just consideration as to how useful it can be for you depending on your schedule. As well the only thing I would recommend would be if we could more prominently seeing prior to or before purchase which attractions require pre-booking/require pre-booking To make sure that you can get your monies worth. We were lucky we were able to get into everything we want to. And we were actually there on a very beautiful summer weekend in August, the weekend right before the DNC so Chicago was extra busy. But upon purchase, it would be nice if it sent you a link prompting you to pre-book attractions once purchased. As it stands, you have to go into each individual activity to see whether or not a pre book is required. on two occasions, we arrived at places we did not expect to require a pre-booking to find out that we did. Fortunately, we were able to get into both, but it would’ve been nice to have a prompt after buying the pass to quickly and easily do that. With the city pass, you’ll find yourself doing a lot of activities that otherwise you might not do. For example, we might not have gone into museums and may have instead gone off to other locations of the city just to explore. So it’s worth considering how you like to travel before purchasing, but overall great value and it was fairly easy to use.

Lame reply below from GoCity where they reference the speedboat tour so here's how it work...you have to go to Navy Pier from where ever your hotel is to stand in line early in the day (open around 10am) to possibly secure tickets...there is no guarantee you get on during your preferred times. GoCity-Chicago; Horrible experience (now made worse as my trip is 5 days away and I'm being told I can't make reservations to Skydeck for another 1-2 days...helpline from India is staffed with people who speak english very poorly, had to request a supervisor) trying to secure advanced tickets and their helpline has been awful (guessing it may include some AI, a bit of a nightmare)...no supervisor to speak to. Continue to refer me to the website. While advanced reservations are recommended for many items, the ability to secure advanced reservations is limited to 9 of the 40 attractions. As an example, I'm being told to show up on the day of the Speedboat tour and my pass will get me onboard. That's great if there's availability, what if there's not? Looking like a waste of nearly $900 for 4 tickets and never received the 5% discount for providing them with my email address.

Decent ....bought the 5 day pass. After two days here I've visited 360 Chicago, done an architectural boat tour, visited museum of illusions and Field Museum. Tomorrow plan is to have a look at Skydeck Chicago, Navy Pier, Flyover and use the Big Bus hop on hop off also. So after two days I've gotten $130 value and tomorrows looks like another $130...that's break even from 5 day pass over 3 days. Might try Griffin Museum, the aquarium and another boat trip on over last 2 days of the pass which would be another $100 worth. My verdict is 3 day option likely best value if you're on a budget. The two viewing places and the bus tour would almost cover the price of the 3 day pass. Edit: a very wet Sunday meant day 3 didn't happen so was glad I got the 5 day pass. One must keep time to wander on the L also which is really, really fab and almost free (7 day pass $20 plus $5 for the card)

The GoCity card is my 'go-to' when traveling to new destinations for a reason. The GoChicago card definitely did not disappoint. My friend and I each bought a 3 day pass and were able to use it extensively.

TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE ARCHITECTURE TOURS!! These boat tours individually are a pretty penny, so you easily make up the cost of your GoChicago card on these tours alone. I believe you can go on one tour per day of your pass. The architecture is astounding and easily one of my favorite parts of my visit to Chicago. The boat tour gives you beautiful views to compare the structural and artistic differences in buildings without being overwhelmed by their presence and you learn a little more about the buildings. You may even find that you have a 'favorite.' Even now, I can see a few in my minds eye that really stood out to me :)

Shedd Aquarium, Alder Planetarium, Field Museum - you could easily spend a whole day at any of these places. I absolutely LOVED them all and hope to visit again sometime soon. They are all wonderful, large exhibits with a lot of attractions and activities. There are beluga whales at the aquarium (

I got the Go Chicago Card for my niece and me in early September 2017 for her 10th birthday. It was fantastic! We were able to see and do SO much in Chicago in one day! It was an awesome (though exhausting) adventure. We used the double-decker trolley as our transportation - it was neat to see the city this way. Staff getting our tickets prior to boarding the bus was awesome - super helpful. The guide on the bus was just as great - funny and interactive. We visited the Adler Planetarium for her first time ever. We planned to visit the Shedd but the lines were too long. Instead we opted for the Field Museum - it was very neat! We then headed to Navy Pier and went to the Children's Museum. After spending a couple of hours there, we went to the docks. I thought we were too late for the cruise, but we weren't! We got to go on a sunset cruise out on the lake. We planned to finish the day at 360 Chicago at the Hancock, but it turns out you need to book in advance - they were sold out when we got there. I would absolutely get these passes again! We did all of that in just ONE day! Imagine what you could see/do in multiple days!

I very highly recommend the Go...
