Le Labo — Local services in Chicago

Went here during my lunch break and had such a wonderful time smelling all the different Le Labo fragrances! Favorites were definitely The Noir and Aldehyde/Dallas.

Store itself was very cute and welcoming, I loved the ambience and how everything was situated. One of the employees there, Sunny, was AMAZING; supremely helpful in talking about the many different fragrances, their notes, how they felt about them, etc. They definitely made the experience, as I often worry about conversating too much about the fragrances, but Sunny was super welcoming and amicable.

Bad note is that I do think the prices are very high. One of the exclusive City Scents I bought a sample of was 14 dollars, which is veryyyyy steep for a sample. But I do love the scents! Even if you don't have the money to make a big purchase, definitely worth stopping in to smell some really wonderfully...

I had seen their fragrances online and went in for a visit to try see if I liked any of the perfumes. I had a lot of fun learning about the company and smelling the different options. I learned that they mix the perfume on site when you order it, which I did not know was an option at any fragrance company. Also, there's a Chicago-specific smell that is only sold at their store. I've never smelled anything like it and it was very nice! I found the staff enjoyable to laugh with and helpful in answering questions. Very industrial + minimalistic vibes. The perfumers here were super chill and cool.

My first time here was pleasant and everyone was very nice considering I came 40 minutes before closing! I got to smell their most popular fragrances and walked away with 4 samples to try before I bought the full size refillable bottles! Oud 27, Bergamote 22, Thé Matcha 26, and Neroli 36.

Paid street parking is available and there is some spot hero garages you can park in that aren’t too far of a walk.
