My stepdad was called the night before to come in at 5:30am for a 7:30Am surgery. He doesn’t drive so he asked that I take him. We get there and the receptionist who felt awful said you are not scheduled until 2:00pm. She said there was a “last minute” change to the schedule and they failed to call us. Residents come out at 9:00am to tell us they will do their best to get him before that. It’s 2:30pm and we are still waiting! We are being as patient as possible and understand that there are times when errors come up. For the last 3 hours no one has given us an update! It is disbursing that we asked and the nurse with attitude pushes me away and stated I will look into it and get back to you.. let’s see how long it takes her to let us know what the plan is. Read moreThis is where you go if you want to have a shot a living. Do not send your loved ones to suburban hospitals if they have a life threatening illness or disease. Those hospitals are ok for giving birth, broken bones and flu, but that's it.
The nurses caring for my dad at Northwestern are phenomenal and the doctors are the best in the world.
His cancer doctor is the most compassionate doctor I've ever heard of. (Shout out to Dr. Winter). She took time out of her day to come and visit him and he's not in there for his Lymphoma, he's in for other issues....

As for INFO DESK...don't bother. 2 Lazy Ladies did NOT have a map, nor tried to be helpful. They work here who doesn't know the location of 2-716. 🤯 I have been here long long time ago, and INFO desk was different, & very helpful.
