I bought my wife a foreverus engagement ring. They had to size it down to fit. On the website you can only go to size 5.5. So we had to size it down a second time after it got to the store. When they size down your ring, they keep the extra gold that they take off and do not tell you, discount you nor credit you for that. I said that is theft and I would like the gold I purchased. They gave me the gold from the secondary size down. I had to remind them that there was more gold that I paid for. The MANAGER Maria acted like a teenage girl and made faces and kept saying that she has never been asked this before and she doesnât understand. She was very unpleasant and down right combative with me. I asked her to stop making faces at me and I didnât care who asked for their gold back or not. I wanted the gold I paid for. She flagged down some guy JACOB who was not a manager to help her. He told me that âyou will get what we give you and that is it.â I told him I will be leaving a review and he told me to bring it on. He told me that they donât want my business and if I come back I will not be welcome. I told him âyou think I would come back?â He said we donât want your business. I said yes you do. I said âI wonât be back.â He said âWe wonât miss you.â I said âWhat did you say?â And he said âhave a nice day. If you donât leave we will call security.â I said no you donât need to. Then I left. I called customer care and created a complaint ticket with a detailed description of this event. Waiting for a manager to call me and have been assured I will be allowed back in the store and my business is wanted. I was credited $50 for the inconvenience and Nina from customer care was 10/10 excellent. Horrible store manager. Jacob tried to provoke a fight with me and is a liability to your company. I hope you take this complaint seriously because I have lost all faith in this franchise. I just spent 5,000 on a chain at JCPennyâs and wanted to try Kayâs to get my wife something and I see I should have stuck...

Read moreRecently, we went to Kay Jewelers in Chico to clear up non-use issues w/Kay Cards that were going to be closed in mid-July. Maria, Kay staff, went thru several options for purchase of custom-made jewelry and how to use the Kay cards. This process took almost three hours. Finally, Maria came up with a great idea re: a custom made necklace using our existing jewelry but purchasing a stronger necklace. Maria also suggested a specific way to split the cost using both Kay cards to avoid closure. Later we plan on having a necklace made with the 22 dark quartz stones given to us as gifts from LeVian for all the purchases we've made in the last 20 years - closing in on @ $200,000. For years at Kay Jewelers, we dealt with managers Dona, then Melanie and now Maria. Maria has given us the 1st rate service we've been accustomed to receiving. Her willingness to explore custom-made jewelry options and payment methods are the qualities of exemplary customer service. As long as this high quality service exists, we will continue to purchase and repair jewelry at Kay Jewelers.
