Poor, poor customer service. My Mom & I went curtain shopping and were ignored by the lady working in that department. She was helping another lady, but never once did she acknowledge us or gave us a friendly,"i will bs right with you." Instead she went right on laughing and talking to the lady she was helping. After we found some curtains on our own, we followed her to ask if there were more curtains. She finally turned and said, "im helping someone right now, and i will be a while." Annoyed she added "Did u have a qhick question? " Finally I asked if she had anymorw curtains as the ones we had and she said no, not even online, it is a clearance item we no longer carry it. I then asked if she could check the redding store after she was done helping the lady she was with, and she quickly responded, they dont have it either. They have called our store asking for ths same curtain, but YOU can check if you want. Today I went to Redding and found they had Many of the curtains I was looking for. It was obvious she was not interested in helping us. I work in customer service, in fact my income depends on it. Hope you have a meeting soon and discuss proper customer service to your employees. I wish I had a name to give you but her back was given to us...
Read moreThis store has lots of room for improvement. When I was up stairs looking at clothing. As well as cotton hand towels & wash cloths. Trying to find an employee to assist me was nearly impossible then when I was informed I had to go downstairs to try them on. I was by myself in my wheelchair with clothing I wanted to see if it fit. This store expected me to roll downstairs(they do have an elevator) with a lap full of clothing and hangers plus trying not drop wait in line down stairs.that was not going to happen. When I wanted to pay for the hand towels & wash cloths my jcp card was giving me trouble so I was going to break it between 2 debit card and they said that I could not do that it was at that point I lost it.and left cash was not good enough for them. I have been a jcp card holder for for over 45 year how can you treat customers like this. This store has on numerous occasions been informed on violations of American with Disabilities Act Access standards & ca title 24 building 24 access code and the blocking of the main aisles to enter and exit with so much product & shopping carts displaying and selling items items on the lower counters that are there for pwd to write checks and ppl at for their items . You have lots of of room for...
Read moreI have Nothing Nice to say About Penneys. I'm Handicap and Penny's had the Door Locked on the Side Closes to the Handicapped Parking. I use Oxygen and it was a very hard trip around to the front Door. Can't park in front because they have 4 or 5 Parking Spots Taking Up for curb service. Wait because there's never any there. Once I got inside I asked Why the Doors We're Locked. Answer was something like We are trying to Force Penny's to put in more Handicap Parking. That's great but why lock the door to prove a point. All they had to do was ask people to sign a little piece of paper stating how upset they were and how hard it is for people that are handicapped for whatever the reason to walk that far around and then to get lost on the inside and can't get out. I use oxygen and have a very hard time walking for distance but I don't want to give up living but I don't expect big Corporations like JCPenney's to lock the doors to prove a point. The point I have is if JCPenney's doesn't want our business then you go ahead and keep those doors locked I will never ever go into JCPenney's again until those doors...
