JCPenney — Local services in Chillicothe

I never go into this JC Penny bc I'm not from the area but travel there to eat sometimes and just go to a few shops. I stopped in this store randomly to look for some shorts. The store had maybe one other customer inside. The ladies from the desk just glared at us the whole time. I noticed everytime I looked in their direction. Like we may take something. It was weird. My toddler was with me and I went to look at some makeup too. I got distracted and apparently my toddler got a hold of some makeup on a bottom shelf. Why is it open there in the first place? Some lady came over and rudely said "we don't let kids play with makeup". I get that but wow it was rudely said. She got the makeup and walked off. Offered no help to me in the makeup. Bc I wasn't even sure what I should get. The other ladies just stared at me. I immediately just put my shorts back and left. I WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN. it was very poor customer service and I just felt uncomfortable...

A couple weeks ago I went to the JCPenny Hair Salon before vacation.. I was very unhappy with my experience. She didn't wash my hair, did a fast hair cut & style in 30min. She used some kind of weird powder on the top of my head which made me sneeze a lot on the way home and became sticky. I called and talked with the manager, she was nice & agreed to wash & redo my hair when I got back from vacation. I made an appointment for today at noon. When I got there, she was beginning on another customer & said she'd be about 15-20 min. After 30 min, I just got up and left. It was very rude to schedule me, then make me wait, especially, when she was trying to make things right with me. They just lost me as a customer. I'll never go back or refer anyone...

UPDATE 2022- This JCPENNEY has worked hard to Revamp their store. It is now well organized, brightly lit, clean and full of current products. online orders can be picked up at the back desk again. Much better. Well done, JCPENNEY! Upgraded you to 5 stars from 3.( Old review: this store is cramped. Products are so crowded together one bumps into other racks while trying to shop. Clearance areas are mayhem. Check out clerks are friendly. Grateful Penney's changed their catalog pick up back to Customer Service area instead of making the clerks leave their register to get the order. Did not shop online here at Christmas because of that...
