KAY Jewelers — Local services in Chillicothe

Most of the time when I walk into this store, it usually takes a good 5-10 minutes to get a salesperson's attention even without any other customers in the store. A few days after Christmas, my fiance and I went together to exchage the chain that was included in the set he gave me for Christmas (purchased from this location, we came with receipt in hand)- the salesperson working right at the very front display case acted as if she was irritated and bored by our questions, made no attempt to help or come up with alternative options, and just kept repeating "You can just buy another chain for $500." She also said that if we wanted, we could just return the whole set and wait 7-10 days for the refund to process, and then buy a new set in store, but we would still need to purchase an additional chain since they don't have anything over 18 inches in store. How does this make sense? To top it off, the older sales woman sitting down inside the display area kept bringing up how sterling silver jewelry was currently 50% off, but my set was gold - so not only was she oblivious and not paying attention to us, she assumed we were there for the lower priced items so I guess she figured we weren't worth paying attention to. Me and my fiancé went together to pick my ring out, and this wasn’t my first time or second, but I knew he was my last! So after being greeted and told would you like to take a look around and someone will be right with you, 20 mins later Bri greeted us and was more than helpful. It’s like she knew exactly what I was looking for! Now I know you’re gonna hear bad reviews and good reviews, but I can promise this is 100% real. 4 days after getting my ring back from being sized the prong on the side broke and my baguette diamond fell out, devastated yes, but I didn’t freak out cause we got the insurance and I took it in and it was sent off fixed and came back to me 5 days later more beautiful than ever, and the customer service through the whole experience was exceptional!!
