Went into the store with my girlfriend. Everything was smooth until we got to the check out. Our cashier’s name was Beth. This is where everything went downhill. Beth, while checking us out, drops what she is doing and takes a phone call. I work retail, and when there is a phone call I let it ring until I’ve checked out my customer. Is this not common practice? Beth finally gets off the phone. My girlfriend then attempts to pay with a store credit gift card that is in my name, but I didn’t have a use for it so I gave it to her to use while I was there. Beth tells her she can’t use it because it’s not hers. I tell her I’ll pay for it and she starts pouting and huffing and puffing for the remainder of the transaction. At the end she gave me a lecture about how the cards are not transferable and I can’t give them out as if I’m not standing right there with my girlfriend. In some sort of sick joke this is always the cashier I get stuck with. She is always incredibly rude, but this is the worst she’s been. Not somebody I’d want working for me, especially in a customer...
Read moreFairly consistent with the other chains I've been to. I did have one negative experience I'd like to share in the hopes it doesn't reoccur. I had just moved to Chillicothe and had been in and out of here, buying lot of home items such as decor. I went in the day following one of these trips to return an item. Unused, tags on, receipt in hand, the whole 9. Well, there was an issue. It came off kind of confrontational, but objectively, I was told I wasn't able to return the item because there was a chance it was my fault for not checking it out more closely? I don't know, man. The manager got called over, we went back and forth a couple rounds, I kept my cool, it eventually got resolved peacefully on both ends. Maybe she was new or something because it sounded like she had a couple of key points backward. I've been back since and you can bet I am very thorough. I don't hold grudges toward the people, but my experiences henceforth have been tinted by a slight burden of misplaced responsibility...
Read moreLove this beautiful Karl Lagerfiled huge beach tote I bought for my daughter. It's red, has plenty of room for beach towels and zippered compartments to store other items like cellphones and sunscreen. Their purse selection is great with many brands to choose from. They also carry a huge selection of specialty candles of which I bought many; they come in all shapes, scents and sizes which are all very reasonably priced. My daughter worked here while in high-school and received numerous customer accolades/reviews for being courteous and helpful to all customers. If your in the need to shop quality products at affordable prices, I highly recommend this store, a subsidiary of Marshall's. The gourmet food selection is always awesome with items from various countries. Although this store sales many items, anyone can easily find some great bargains, even on their...
