Spent over $600 at this store when we moved from our apartment to a townhouse. We bought a fridge as well as W/D. We were happy that they were able to deliver same day. After running the dryer the first time, we discovered that it wasn't working properly. A full 90 minute timed dry run twice barely got the job done.

I called the number on the business card that the owner had given me, just a couple days prior, only to discover that the number was not in service. I then remembered that he'd called me to confirm delivery! When I spoke to the owner he asked in broken English if it was gas or electric, three or four prong, and requested that I send a picture. He said he'd call the next day to schedule an appointment for repair. No call.

I texted him several times over the next few weeks. No response. Finally my male roommate went back to the store, half expecting to find an empty building. On the contrary, he was quite impressed by the new inventory! He asked the same things of my roommate that he'd asked me, and again said he'd call within a couple days. No call. And funny enough, I can't find 'City Appliance' (whom I'd written the check to) online anywhere. No Yelp page or much of anything comes up for 'Persia Appliance' either....

My roommate called again. Just under the 60 day warranty timeframe, a replacement dryer has been installed. I'm extremely hopeful that we don't have any more issues, as I cannot be confident they'd be resolved.

Our garage fridge conked out last night so since we are going to be remodeling our kitchen and will be moving our current fridge to the garage in a few months, we decide to buy a refurbished one in the meantime instead of a brand new one, especially given that we generally only keep drinks in it. We went to the place on Auburn Boulevard, but I was not impressed. Most of their fridges had obvious cosmetic damage on the outside. While it is a garage fridge, we still use it a lot and I don't want it to have dents, scratches and creases in it. We decided to pop into City Appliances and were greeted by a very nice man. The shop was clean and organized and when I told him what we were looking for he made a couple of recommendations. Since we did not want a fridge with water or ice, he showed us one that had that component removed, thus giving us more freezer space, and told us he would give us a discount. We ended up paying half the price we would have paid on Auburn Boulevard for a banged up fridge. He offered same day FREE delivery and showed up right at the end of the delivery window with a cold fridge. He takes cash only and payment is due upon delivery. We thought it was very nice that he had plugged the fridge in so he could deliver it cold. He unloaded it and plugged it in and hauled our old fridge away.
