Hi I went to meet a friend and to have a business meeting. I normally do one on one business meetings at different Starbucks locations. I drove an hour to get to this location. I arrived a little after 7pm. I went to use the bathroom and was stopped by an employee stating the bathroom are closed because they were just cleaned with bleach and the floors were wet. I looked in I could smell the bleach but the floors were dry. I stated I just drove an hour to be there and the floors are dry. She told me no and I could walk across the parking lot to use Togo's bathroom. It was a very strean voice that she used. I stated again that I just drove an hour to be at that location to meet someone and I cant use either one of the 2 bathrooms because you cleaned them. She stated with two other employees next to her that if I have to go to the bathroom that bad I would have to go to Togo's across the way. I don't know if the laws have changed from when I was an assistant manager of a food industry, but they shouldn't have been using bleach while open. I also don't understand why they closed both bathrooms. I walked across the parking lot to Togos and used their bathroom and then walked back to wait for my friend to do our business meeting. 15 minutes after I had come back, Another well dress man came in and walked to use the bathroom. Again the same lady stated to him that the bathrooms were closed. He stated well I guess Im bring my business somewhere else. My friend I after ordering our drinks went to sit outside on the patio because he could stand the smell of the bleach. When he went to buy another drink we learned that they had locked to doors to go back into the store while the store was still open. My friend stated well that was rude I guess we have to leave through the gate and Im not going to get my other drink. I feel that this store lost business because they were more concerned about closing up hours early than doing their jobs. I was so embarrassed that I had invited my friend to meet somewhere where he could not feel comfortable or relax to focus on...
Read moreSerena is by far one of the most EXCEPTIONAL baristas, waitresses, servers or otherwise at a food establishment I have ever encountered. Me and my husband have a blog channel where we recount our travels all across the US to evaluate the service of local food establishments. This charming little Starbucks, planted humbly in a desolate plaza in Citrus Heights California, has utterly stolen our hearts! It all began, surprisingly, when I simply wanted some coffee to start my day. I walked into the front door and was met by a symphony of good mornings. Serena then came to the counter to take my order. It was 5 AM but her upbeat demeanor and can-do attitude would inspire you to double-check the time. She asked for my order to which I asked for a Venti triple-shot blonde ristretto vanilla white mocha with 3 pumps of vanilla (per her recommendation) and it was heavenly! I had energy for the rest of the day to finish my editing for months worth of videos in that single day! I’ve since asked for this drink at every Starbucks location I go and I simply haven’t had it made to the same level of perfection that it was made for me on that morning. I couldn’t quite make out the nametag of the woman working the machines but I believe her name was Jay. She had black hair with bangs and she cleary knew what she was doing! Will definitely come back again whenever...
Read moreAs a former barista, I am completely appalled at the way that the store operates. My husband, two days ago, went through the drive-through with my order, which is always the same a quad shot, espresso, iced, in Venti cup, filled with half-and-half and five pumps of white chocolate. The employee told him she could not bring it up like that she proceeded to charge him for a Venti white mocha, which is just about double the price with one less shot of espresso, then a quad, unless the drink menu has changed since I worked there, and it was made with regular milk versus half-and-half .My drink that was supposed to be just over 4 dollars was now almost 8. My husband didn’t get a name but she was wearing striped pants. She had darker skin and darker hair. No I’m not racist. This is ridiculous. There’s no reason why she couldn’t have rang it up the way that he had ordered it. She just simply was either one lazy and didn’t feel like entering it as a quad espresso with the extra syrups and half-and-half, etc. or she was really just trying...
