My experience with the JC Penneys Sunrise Mall merchandise return center was the worst of my life! Clearly, staff have been instructed to reject on-line order returns through any means possible! They were agressively rude, insulting, contradictory and made ridiculous demands when I attempted to return an unused comforter set I purchased on-line. I presented them with all original packaging, receipts, shipping materials that had come with this order; only the comforter had been removed from it's shrink wrapping so I could unfold it and view it on my bed. (The comforter was not as pictured on-line and did not fit my bed properly.) When I presented the folded comforter, the still shrink wrapped pillows and the never-opened bedskirt and shams to the return counter, I was told they would not accept the items unless they were all "inside" the original packaging. I pointed out that although I was bringing them the original packaging, there was probably no way I could squeeze everything back inside the original box without having a shrink wrap machine. I was told that JC Penneys would not give me a refund for this item as they considered it "used" due to the fact that I had removed the shrink wrap and placed the comforter on my bed to see if it fit properly. The department supervisor, Shannon Brown, subsequently stated that it was not physically possible for her to reinsert all of the products into the original packaging....despite her having demanded that I do so. Thereafter, I returned this comforter purchase though JC Penneys on-line customer service. The service representative profusely apologized for the abusive treatment I recieved at the JC Penneys Sunrise Mall return counter. Called to schedule a appointment spoke to shay she quoted me 1 price and said she would adjust it if needed to keep the cost right at that rate I drove over a hour in traffic to get there and they tell me it's almost double that price then argued for a good 30 min and then said 4 hours wasn't enough time...... they changed the service I asked for saying I needed bleach but I've always gotten highlights but all a sudden what I was asking for wasn't possible and the said the last stylist must have brought her own products because they don't use the products that the previous stylist used that her notes goes against company policy ..... I've been going to jcpennys for my Hair for over 15 years now im not a new client and I know what services I get . I know the ball park on how much it cost and then to argue with me telling me like I don't know what is going on with my own hair. Just is a bit absurd..especially after saying she was standing next to shay when she booked my appointment. She quoted 98.00 when I got there it went to 145 plus 15.00 each extra bowl needed and then I had to come back the next day to finish and it was going to be a minimum of 60.00 + $20 treatment and that's not even including a small trim and the treatment was basically mandatory as she put it ..... even though I repeatedly said I use the same treatment products on my hair already I don't need the add on . Very disappointed to rush over to get my hair done for my birthday which was the next day and not get it done at all the whole ordeal literally took from start to finish 4 hours to get nothing done ....
Read moreMy experience here was a complete dissappointed. Brought in both of my daughters to do highlights and color for the first time was told by the reception that it would take 3 hours max. We arrived at 3pm, it's going on 7:15 pm-I'm still sitting here going on 4 hours. My daughter asked for ombre and her hair is looking good so far and she is almost done. I am still to see my other daughters hair. She is in foil. While the lady working on her hair has had two clients and working on my daughters hair. I am here now while she works on another ladies hair and my daughter at the same time. I am sitting on an empty chair pissed. So so so so annoyed at this point, my 14 year should be free at this point. The dye is not lifting and I am pissed as hell. I am a grown women who has had hair bleached, colored, styled and curled and walked out feeling like a million bucks. NEVER EVER TOOK OVER 3 HOURS. The ladies have a million excuses as to why my daughters are still being worked on and my husband had to go wait in the car. If you cannot complete a job in the time promised to not overbook and piss off clients. Its 7.26pm and she is still in foils. This was a total time dissapointment.
