Went to Wasabi a couple of years ago for lunch because my friend liked the Scott roll. I don't remember what I had, all I recalled was that the Service was decent, food was OK.
Well, same friend wanted to have the Scott roll the other day, so we went back there. Pulled up to the place on a Friday night...we didn't know whether the place was open because the parking lot was empty. It was open, so we went in. The place looked like a ghost town--only two tables (us included) were occupied. Should have heeded that warning....but we didn't. I ended up ordering the Chirashi. It was basically slices of different types of sushi on rice. It did not look good, but I thought, what the heck, I'll try it anyway. I ended up eating a piece of salmon and tuna but I couldn't stomach the tuna because it just had this really stale taste. When one of the servers (elderly Asian lady) walked by, she asked me how the food was, I told her that the fish was not fresh. She then looked around and said that the owners were here and the fish was fresh. Not sure what the owners being there has got to to with the fish being fresh, but ok. So she basically argued with me on the freshness of their fish, didn't offer a replacement dish, and just walked away. And to top that off, she wasn't even our server! I ended up taking the dish back myself and setting it on their cashier counter. The Chirashi dish was not taken off the bill, nor was it discounted. I wasn't going to dispute it since I didn't think I was going to get anywhere with these people.
Definitely will never be going back again. I don't care if my friend has a craving for the Scott roll, she will need to put a gun to my head, tie me up, and drag me in there. If you like stale sushi and bad service, this is your place! Well, at least there's no wait on a...
Read morePoor Customer service. My husband and I went there during there happy hour specials and was guided to a table. Are server walked away and I had went to the bathroom I came out and realized we didnt have the happy hour menu so I asked the chef he said "Oh happy hour is only for people who sit at the bar." So we asked if we could noone else was at the restaurant during this time just us. He said ok and was grunting while he set up our areas with plates. Gave us the menus then asked what we wanted. I ordered the two peices of tuna and some other stuff. Our original server made the tuna she made four peices by mistake and gave it to us. We thought oh maybe she was being nice for the misunderstand then the chef says " Oh no you only ordered two peices are you going to pay for the other two." We said no. So he requested the plate back mind you we already touched and were about to eat. Took the two extra peices off and threw it away amd gave us our plate back with the two we bought. Im very upset with how he handled it. It wasnt our fault that there was a mistake on there end but to just waste the...
Read moreI really laugh at seeing the FAKE reviews on this place and then trying to compare another place by name and say there better on giving half off plates. Ok if you are cheap and don't understand the economics of advertising for HALF off then you are truly clueless. No restaurant in good standing needs to offer HALF off to drum up business. I have been going to this place for 12 years and have sent family and friends there just to try what they have to offer. Even friends of mine that have swore up and down they would never touch anything RAW or sushi have been there and left with the most incredible experience ever in Food. Customer service and even a great mood with others at the sit down bar. So these obvious FAKE one star review are bogus. Maybe one had a bad day and who knows. So all i can tell you is me and my times was there was great and oh my friends and family total been there over 60x Plus and not one said anything bad. So there you go from a tried and true review for 1st hand and also others that I...
