Hi all I want to lead with the fact I am not the type to review as I see it trival & harmful to honest businesses, but this place absolutely rubbed me the wrong way.
Was visiting from California a couple of weeks ago where respect & decency seems to be a little more 2nd nature. My partner & I stepped in with drinks accidentally in hand; initially paying no mind to signage until I caught glimpse. Laughed it off and was on my way to set my drink outside to enjoy browsing the rest of the store when the shopkeeper made a slick rude remark about it being a âgood jobâ that I could read?? A simple âcan you set that outside please?â Does the job. I get yâall having policies but after careful review it seems like youâre just comfortable being rude cuz itâs your establishment. Itâs giving miserable 1st, 2nd itâs at best a low vibrational tourist metaphysical trap that steals indigenous practices with no recognition. Please save yourself a visit and give your hard earned $ to people who lead with kindness & who deserve it⌠but hey you might enjoy if you like mean girls who are into the metaphysical, & new age spirituality...
Read moreI recently visited this store and noticed a sign on the door stating that only service dogs are allowedâwhich I completely understand and respect. However, the sign also stated that service dogs must be wearing a vest. I kindly informed the owner that, according to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), service dogs are not required to wear vests, and it is unlawful to enforce such a requirement. My intent was simply to share helpful information in case she was unaware, and I made it clear that I wasnât trying to be confrontational.
Unfortunately, the owner responded very rudely and stated that she did not care about the ADA regulations. She also told me that I would not be welcome in the store with my service dog in training if the dog wasnât wearing a vestâdespite this being a clear violation of federal law.
I left feeling extremely disrespected and disappointed. Businesses have a responsibility to ensure theyâre not discriminating against individuals with disabilities. I hope this feedback encourages the owner to reconsider her policy and approach...
Read moreI just want to say that Notions n Potions is one of my favorite witchy stores and having to leave this review is extremely disheartening. Neither one of the two women working in the shop when I visited today were wearing masks, nor did they visibly appear to have masks anywhere on their personage. Itâs nice that youâre only allowing a few people into your shop at a time and requiring guests to sanitize upon entry, but really? No masks? I understand that for you Covid-19 might be over, but for someone in the high risk category with loved ones also in the high risk category who has been practicing the utmost of care in being out in public since March, I will happily find another metaphysical store to patronize and will NEVER shop here...
