I have been going to Smoker’s Choice for a while now and I will agree with the comments about the store having hefty prices. It is nice to have a local head shop that focuses on tobacco but the back portion of their store is dedicated to smoking accessories, which also accounts for a decent amount of their customer base. As one of those customers, my observation is that they always have the same bongs, bowls, hookahs, etc because of their prices. Some of the pieces they have are okay for the price they are asking but if you know little to nothing about smoking accessories in general then this is not really the place for you. They have a whole section in the back corner of the store which is two shelves of broken glass that they are still trying to sell for $100+ when the bongs/bowls cannot even be used properly. That alone has always been a major turn off to me.
I have never come across a knowledgable person working here either. A majority of the time when I stop by, there is a group of girls working who sit/stand around singing to the music that is playing or gossiping and smoking their cigarettes. They don’t seem to have any knowledge about the smoking accessories or cigars/tobacco in general and definitely do not have the best customer service skills. Recently I went in to purchase blunt wraps and when I got home I found that all 6 wraps were old and as dry as they possibly could be. I couldn’t even take them out of the surrounding plastic without them crumbling into pieces. With all the wraps they have sitting in the cases, I would imagine there is many other packages just like the ones I opened that are completely ruined. I do plan on taking the wraps back and showing them. They could really use some lessons in how to run a tobacco shop and how to hire employees that can actually assist customers with what is in the store, instead of employees that just have a certain...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I stopped in last night 12/18/19 looking for butane. Service was worse than usual. He was turning all the lights off an hour before they close as if they weren't open. We started looking at a vape mod and we started to ask him a few questions and it seemed like we were being a bother to him. We asked the price and if the vape had internal batteries or 18650s and he simply said I don't know then finally got up and came over to look at the product and told us that the car was running and there was someone in there and needed to see there ID. My boyfriends older brother was in there. He clearly just didn't want to have to sell anything. We were trying to be nice and genuine the entire time he was giving us terrible service. Then my boyfriend was fed up with him after he made him go to the car in the 10 degree whether to see if his brother had his ID on him. He didn't so he told him that we wouldn't be buying anything I guess. And then he said don't forget your ID I left on the counter and threw it across the store. He made my boyfriend so mad he was swearing at him. I would avoid this smoke shop. I understand they are very strict now with ID for tobacco and vaping products but this employee was just being very lazy with no customer service and didn't want to help us or...
Read moreAll the employees there are great, very helpful and knowledgeable. My only complaint would be to whoever made the rule that a sales are final... I think there should be exceptions to that rule, for instance I've bought faulty coils, and I was told that "it happens sometimes... Sometimes we receive faulty coils but we don't know until customers purchase them, and then unfortunately there's nothing we can do to exchange or refund." I think it's at the very least, good customer service to be able to either exchange or get a refund for any product sold that turns out is faulty. If it weren't for the fact that the staff is pleasant and helpful, I wouldn't continue to take my business there anymore, because I'm taking the risk of literally throwing my money away to never...
