If you're looking for the perfect, movie-like Bridal experience, Lily Saratoga is THE place to go. The shop itself is picturesque: a beautiful yellow Victorian house that sits on the corner, and makes you feel like you're definitely somewhere special. Vintage and current photos of weddings and brides adorn the walls, and the selection of stunning wedding dresses and unique accessories fill the store. I was referred here by my friend who recently got married, and Lily Saratoga was the first, and only bridal shop I even stepped into! My mom and I first met with Michelle, and the former owner, Maureen (who has now sold the business to 2 awesome ladies!) also came over to help. As it was the first place my mom and I went to, I had zero idea of what style I wanted. The ladies there were so happy and accommodating, and we started pulling TONS of dresses for me to try on and went from there. We tried on at least 20 dresses and narrowed it down to 4. As we were putting dresses away, there was one at the end of the stack that we missed. I knew instantly it was THE Dress! I tried it on, and we all agreed; it was perfect. They took my measurements since the Modern Trousseau line allows your dress to be custom fit to your body, and I bought my Modern Trousseau dress that day!!!! When it later came in, they referred us to two ladies for fittings. Beth actually comes to the studio on Thursday nights, so we went with her and she made a few more customizations to my dress that make it even more perfect. I cannot wait for my wedding next week to wear it, not one person other than the ladies that work there and my mom have seen my dress!! Since I purchased my dress from there, Lily Brides are given 10% off on accessories so I purchased a beautiful headband for the reception. I could not be happier with the service and entire experience I received and would recommend anyone to become a Lily Bride!!! If you’re looking for your wedding dress skip anywhere else and go straight to Lilys! I had gone to a few other shops before Lilys and just didn’t have a great experience, didn’t like the dresses, and the consultants weren’t very helpful. So I finally went to Lilys and WOW what a treat! For pretty much all of my appointments I got to work with Sarah - she is the sweetest, so out going, and expert in all things wedding! She was my own personal hype man and did a great job managing all the “guests” you bring when you’re trying on dresses. She’s 100% team bride whatever I wanted went. I went in not having any clue what I did and didn’t like - just with a few questions she nailed it! Another thing I really appreciated was her respecting my budget - she didn’t have me try on a single dress outside of my budget without asking me if the higher price was okay or not. No other place did that and I thought it was so nice! Once I said “yes to the dress” the Lilys team was so helpful! Once my dress came in I came in to just try it on I was so excited, again I got to work with Sarah and she happily took some pictures of me, got some veils for me to try on and some other accessories and noted it alll in my file! A couple months later they let me come back in for an accessory appointment were I was able to try on and buy all my jewlery, shoes and veil with my dress! When it came to my hair trial Lilys even gave me a loner veil to bring to my trial so I didn’t ruin mine and could still see how it would look! Then, when I went for alterations next door the shoes I had bought were a bit too tall for my dress and when Megan told Lilys, Lilys reached out to me and offered me the opportunity to return the shoes! Lily Saratoga is a dream come true, and Laura Mullen and her staff could not be better fairy godmothers to a bride who is looking for her fairytale come true. I purchased my beautiful Martina Liana gown in 2019 (Lily Saratoga is one of the only bridal shops in NY State that carries this exquisite line) for our wedding in May 2020. Because of the pandemic, we have heartbreakingly had to reschedule four times. Laura and the Lily Ladies have been by my side every step of the way supporting me, encouraging me, and even sending a beautiful bouquet of flowers during a tough time. To say they go above and beyond is a complete understatement. I’ve never felt more beautiful, respected and appreciated than when I’ve had the joy of spending an hour or two in their shop being gushed over and made to feel like a princess. Laura makes every bride feel like she’s the most important person in the world. And my family and friends have all left there in tears from the kindness and graciousness showered upon them during my appointments. I have purchased my entire wedding wardrobe through Lily Saratoga including my gown, veil, shoes, jewelry, and bridesmaid dresses, with Laura helping me thoughtfully pick out each item and giving the utmost attention to every detail.
