First Fill spirits âfillsâ a much needed gap in the areaâs fine spirits market. Their selection is second to none in terms of independent bottlings and unusual offerings. They have an ever growing selection of ânew worldâ whiskies - you can find offerings from Poland or Denmark in addition to your traditional powerhouses of Scotland and Japan. My first bottle here was a Gordon McPhail 18 year old Ledaig. The price was very fair and the liquid was delicious.
Another factor that separates First Fill from the rest is their knowledge. Charles and Holly have traveled the worldâs distilleries and accumulated a vast wealth of information to impart on every customer from a whiskey novice to the biggest of whiskey nerds. Their goal is to curate their selection of spirits so that you know that youâre getting a quality product that will impress.
And itâs not just whiskey on the shelves here - you can find other spirits like fine rums, Armagnacs, etcâŠagain, all curated to the highest quality.

If you want a good deal on bottlings of quality brown booze you may never see anywhere else, you'll find what you're looking for in this...
Read moreThis place is outstanding. I did a tasting earlier this week, which was a âsemiprivateâ tasting which happens while theyâre open. During the tasting, Holly explained what sheâd selected (with prior input from us regarding our preferences), and what the flow would be like. As she poured each bottle, she told us about the distillery or the spirit or the category. She was wildly informative and quite interesting to learn from. I love their ethos - they only carry bottles they think are good quality and worth their asking price, with a side goal of raising money for animal shelters along the way. A year ago I went to a local tasting they hosted at a nearby restaurant and also found that to be fascinating. The owners know so much more than anyone Iâve ever found at Total Wine or BevMo, and I think those stores have great service. This place is...
